Taj Lake Palace

Hotel was very charming and staff were very friendly but food was contaminated causing severe sickness to both me and my wife. We were very careful to only eat in hotel and use bottled water for everything including brushing teeth and can safely say that our illness was rooted in the Taj Lake Palace food. I notified front desk and they dismissed compliant with no acknowledgement of even the possibility of fault or apology. This is especially ridiculous since the hotel charged us for a mandatory dinner on Christmas Eve that we left half way through due to feeling ill.

Superior hotel in every way ! The Taj Lake Palace is the ultimate place to stay for royal treatment. The setting, the rooms, the staff and cuisine were superb. I’d travel back to India just to stay here again!

This is an experience of a life time. There's absolutely nothing I can say even remotely negative about my entire stay. It is something every traveler must experience.

Staying at the Taj Palace is a once in a lifetime experience. The service is impeccable . My only comment would be that the rooms could do with a bit of modernising , without loosing the original charm and features.
