Villa di Piazzano - Small Luxury Hotels of the World

The property is beautiful, stunning. Location gorgeous. Staff were fabulous. Restaurant was excellent.

NO HEATING ON THE ENTIRE HOTEL AND POOL WASN'T HEATED. IT WAS COLD. ENDED UP WITH ELECTRIC HEATER IN THE ROOM.. IT IS NOT 5 STAR. THAT'S BASIC. INITIALLY STAFF SAID "SUSTAINABILITY" WHICH WAS A LIE. IT'S A SHOCKING, OLD HEATING SYSTEM THAT HAS TO BE TURNED FROM COLD TO HOT FOR THE ENTIRE HOTEL. POOL IS HEATED APPARENTLY BY SOLAR WHICH IS USELESS WHEN IT'S COLD AND IT HAS NO COVER. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. WE WERE FREEZING THE WHOLE TIME

I stayed at Villa di Piazzano for two nights and overall had a lovely experience. The check-in process was seamless, and the staff were warm, professional, and very attentive, which set a great tone from the start. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous, with beautiful grounds and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it feel like a true Tuscan escape. I booked the Suite Garden, which was comfortable, with a very clean and modern bathroom. However, I think the room could benefit from a few updates—particularly the bed, which wasn’t the most comfortable, and the closet, which unfortunately had a bit of an old, musty smell. Due to the weather and timing of my stay, I didn’t get a chance to enjoy the pool, though it looked wonderful—I really wished I could have taken advantage of it. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming compared to the setting, and I didn’t have the opportunity to try the restaurant, so I can’t comment on that part of the experience. Overall, Villa di Piazzano is a stunning property with excellent staff and great potential. With a few updates to the rooms and an improved breakfast, it would be truly exceptional.

I have stayed all over the world in many different types of accommodations. I have no idea how this hotel is rated anywhere near exceptional. It is absolutely medium grade. Rooms are horrible, the pictures on the listing do not reflect what you receive even after going back and forth with the hotel before check-in I was completely dissatisfied with the room. It was uncomfortable, small tiny windows, no view, living room had two chairs and a hallway bench as a couch, no AC in the bathroom or bedroom, almost inaccessible “extra space” up these tiny steps, low doorways (constantly hitting my head). After check-in I went back to the front desk and explained the situation that the room was not to our liking. Cold, and sorry, but no! No changes no anything ect. We had reserved dinner reservations for ourselves and two other friends staying down the road at the restaurant on the property. Again, for 800-1000 dollars nothing was good, sub par, ok service but I could have gone to the street bars and found way better food and did for a quarter of the price. Not a good experience. Grounds are small in comparison of the pictures, pool unattended and not heated. I literally almost left and booked another hotel but was not able to cancel or move or anything. It was the worse part of our two week trip. The restaurant closed and left us basically in the dark, the front desk said we couldn’t have visitors in our rooms they couldn’t even get the coffee pods or creamer in the room correct and every morning I had to go downstairs to get the right coffee and creamer and they looked at me like I was the one that was crazy. Do not stay here unless you are absolutely clueless in the hotel world. I’m surprised it’s survived their acclaimed 25 years and personally would never suggest this hotel to anyone.

Allt var toppen! Otroligt trevlig personal. Så tyst och fridfullt. Vi hade tur att det inte var några småbarn som härjade så det var så fridfullt och vackert
