Hotel Areca

There’s nothing to like, really.

This is not a 4* and definitely not a spa hotel. Uncomfortable - the room was always either too hot or too cold due to the poor quality air conditioning, unclean - the room was smelly and the bathroom had curly hair everywhere when I got there. There was urine on the toilet seat. Facilities = 0. I’ve never been to a 4* which didn’t have coffee or tea making facilities in the room. And now “the spa”: the saunas never worked during my stay. In theory the schedule was 10-14, 17-22, but they were too cold both at 11 and at 17.30. The pool has few therapeutic showers, none of them worked, the sensors seemed to be off.

Das Hotel liegt einige Km vom Flughafen Alicante entfernt in einer Seitenstrasse. Taxikosten ab Flughafen ca. 10€ einfach. Modern und komfortabel ausgestattet war es perfekt für eine Übernachtung. Frühstück reichhaltig ca 13€ pP. Nicht gerade günstig aber ok. Es gab kaum eine Alternative für eine späte Anreise, da alle Mietwagenfirmen schon geschlossen waren. The hotel is located on a side street a few kilometers from Alicante Airport. A one-way taxi ride from the airport costs around €10. With its modern and comfortable amenities, it was perfect for an overnight stay. There was a generous breakfast available for approximately €13 per person. It wasn't exactly cheap, but it was ok. There were hardly any alternatives for a late arrival, as all the car rental agencies had already closed.

Het was weer heel fijn om aan te konen na een late vlucht. Hartelijke ontvangst, superschone kamer en nog tijd voor een drankje van de bar (tot 24.00 uur open) in de tuin van het hotel. Fijne grote bedden, fijne douche

De directe omgeving is niet heel Inspirerend maar wat kan dat schelen als je in de tuin onder de palmen kunt zitten ontbijten.

Location for the airport is perfect. Staff were super friendly. Clean and nice hotel.

This is one of many times we have stayed in this hotel. It is a superb location for the airport ,and we often stay when arriving to Spain or leaving .it is a 12 euro taxi trip to the airport and possible to pop back next day to collect your car ( especially on a late flight arrival.) Torrelana has a nice local feel ,and plenty of cafes, bars to have a beer .The hotel staff are always pleasant and welcoming ,and will deal efficiently with any problems or concerns .There is a nice terrace restaurant for dinner .The rooms are well appointed and clean .we complained about one of their interior rooms which lacked light and space and we got a far better room on our return .
