Hotel Villa Durrueli Resort & Spa

My daughter and I spent one night at Durruelli. Ischia is a wondelful magic place and this hotel does honour the setting. Sara is in charge of breakfast and she is the most genuine charming person we got to know during our trip. They offer all sorts of delicacies at breakfast and she is looking after everything to make it special. Really great breakfast on any standards. They also have a nice spa and a wonderful terrace. Staff changed promptly our room since I wanted it to be a twin room. The new room was bigger and with a nice view.

Had a wonderful stay here. The room was very clean. The spa facilities were great. The breakfast was good. The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel is a nice walk from the castle.

Can't fault this lovely hotel. Nice peaceful location yet close to many cafes, restaurants, sights and beaches. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and during our stay always said hello and were polite and pleasant. Gave lots of information about the local area and how to get a taxi when leaving. The hotel had great facilities and was always very tidy. Our room had a sea view and we had two large windows, one with a view of the sea and the other with a view of the castle. I would recommend staying here if you are sightseeing or if you want a quiet relaxing break. Lovely lovely hotel, very glad we stayed there!

Let's start with the positives, which far outweigh the negatives. Lovely staff. Very clean. Great location. Superb view from the rooftop bar and some rooms. My fault for not reading the room description correctly, but our room did not have a balcony and was described as a 'Double Comfort Room'. It had a double bed, but it was hardly comfortable. Really just a place to sleep and shower. The temperature of the water in the pool was freezing. Hotel swimming pools are to be enjoyed, not endured. If I stayed in Ischia again I would try another hotel and also read the room description properly. I wish the staff and owners of Hotel Durrueli well as they are really nice. Chambermaids do a great job.

Was a guest here from aug 1 to aug 4. Hotel was nice and the location was convenient. Too bad the a/c didn't work. We brought this to the staffs attention multiple times a day, they kept telling us the technician came in but couldn't do much about it. Long story short we spent the entire stay with 28 degrees Celsius in the room. Very uncomfortable considering it was the hottest heatwave italy had gotten in a while. Not much relief when it's 35 degrees out so keeping windows open would've been even worst. overall dissapointing and will not be coming back

Felt the hotel was overpriced and many of the rooms were really small (although ours was larger) There was a group of us there for a wedding. The drinks and food were also very expensive and I was not very happt to discover I had paid a lot more for the hotel than everyone else who was there with us.

This was our second stay at Villa Durruelli and it was just as good. Extremely clean and the service is excellent and although the rooms are quite small, most have wonderful views towards Castello Aragonese. The roof terrace is also a lovely space. It was not quite as peaceful as our previous visit due to a large wedding party but still a wonderful stay.

Our third holiday in Ischia but first time at Durelli Hotel was definitely the best. Rooms with beautiful views, excellent pool and surrounding area, exceptional food and service from the dining room but most of all the warmth of personal attention from staff in all areas. We have no hesitation in giving the highest recommendation and look forward to returning.

This hotel is very private and quiet, away from all the main streets. Easy to walk for restaurant eating and shopping.

This hotel was in a great location...close to the port, castle and near the beach. The breakfast was good and the "Beauty Farm" was great and clean. I loved the Turkish Bath! My room however, smelled like mildew and the shower had black mold. The mold was all along the nozzle. I can't imagine what was inside and what the water was touching as it came out. There was also black mold on the handle. It was gross! My room was also close to reception so it was very loud. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay.
