Die Lage zwischen Bahnlinie und Schnellstraße führt dazu, dass man nachts kein Fenster öffnen kann.

Initially seemed fine

My husband and I had booked 2 nights here in September 2025 to travel to see Mount Etna. After checking in, we went to the pool. My husband slipped on the side of the pool due to it being greasy and dirty (he was sober and walking) and suffered a serious cut to his arm. I went to reception to ask for help and bandages. I was given a bottle of antiseptic and some small wipes - it would appear the hotel don’t have a first aid box. Due to the severity of the injury we decided we needed to go to hospital and Valeria the manager drove us there for which we were grateful. My husbands arm was cleaned and told he needed stitches. After waiting over three and a half hours and with no view on when we would be seen, we left the hospital and returned to the hotel. The next morning we showed Valeria the manager the side of the pool where he fell and she agreed it needed urgently cleaning. We then walked to a local pharmacy to buy bandages and sterile strips and did our best to bandage his arm. The pool side wasn’t cleaned that day which I found astonishing given one of your guests had had to go to hospital due the hotel’s negligence and lack of cleaning. We warned a German couple to be careful who were also at the pool. My husband’s blood was also still on the tiles. The next morning we checked out. Nothing was said and I had to ask if there was going to be a discount considering what had happened. Reluctantly it was agreed to pay for the meal we had had. There are previous mentions on Booking.com reviews about the state of the pool. I write to the hotel and Best Western asking for a further discount and for the 23.40 euros to be refunded at the very least that we paid at the pharmacy but they have refused saying they need ti see the paperwork from the hospital (we were not given any paperwork). The hotel have failed in their duty of care to customers and I am very angry and upset about what happened.

Die Lage zwischen strada principale, stark befahren und der Bahnlinie, daher eher laut!
