The sunset inn is located about 15 minutes walk from the falls proper and about 25 minutes walk from any point in niagara falls canada. It is located on a decently busy street with a nice breakfast buffet right across from it. For me and my wife trying to keep the trip budget, it was just what we needed. We got the queen sized bed room which came with a tv, microwave, and fridge (all of which worked). It is evident the motel is older and could use alot of updating, but it was a clean room to sleep in which is really all me and my wife needed. Lets do the bad first: The bed felt cheap and the sheets were thin, The window could've used a second layer of curtains and you couldn't really adjust the heat because the radiator knob was broken. There was a gap somewhere under the door because noise from outside was just slightly too loud for normal. None of that really bothered us but this was the biggest one: the wifi we received was the front office wifi, which was too far away for us to get good reception in our room, so unless you walked outside and sat on the bench outside the main office you weren't going to be using the wifi. The good: The price is outrageously cheap. It is a simple place but once again it was clean, no bugs of any kind, and the hot water was instantaneous and quite hot! The location as mentioned before is great, we only drove our car once while staying there to get to a breakfast place that was a little further than we felt like walking. The best part of this place however is the staff. We live in new jersey, so getting to the falls is a seven hour drive for us. On our way I thought it would be best to have my wife call them to let them know we wouldn't be arriving until about 2 am, which would be a day after the booking.com reservation. We were informed the office closes at 12 normally, but they would handle it. When we arrived we found the owner of the motel waiting in his room for us so he could give us our key for the night. We felt terrible for keeping him up but were very appreciative he didn't give us any trouble about it! When it was time to hand in our key (check out is at 11) he let us keep our car there for the rest of our day (we planned on leaving for home at 4) which saved us who knows how much money in parking fees. All in all a great place to stay if you are on a budget and not fussy!
