Residence Inn by Marriott Boston Marlborough

I'm a road/air warrior who stays in many different hotels across the globe. I want to call out the Residence Inn Boston Marlborough for a couple of reasons. First, it is a very well-kept property with wonderfully attentive staff. Second, one of those staff members (Ali) went WAY above and beyond in helping me with an issue that arose during my stay at the property. His kindness and generosity in helping me with this issue is something I will never forget...and I hope this property's management understands the jewel they have in Ali. Thank you to everyone at the Residence Inn Boston Marlborough...and a tremendous personal thank you to Ali. If you are in this area, do yourself a huge favor and stay at this property!!!

Staff was frieny and the grounds were very clean. Directly across the street from the sporting complex

The furniture in the room needs some updating. The beds were comfortable.

In need of renovations. The tub in the first room we were given had peeling paint. The second room was marginally better with an overly noisy fan in the bathroom. The hallways don't seem to get much airflow and had an odor to them. There were kids running around unattended. The icing on the cake was that their key card system was down so they couldn't give you room keys. You had to be personally escorted to your room by staff. Very inconvenient and although we only stayed for one night, the issue was not resolved by check out. We would not stay here again.

Room furniture and rug were stained and dirty. Paint was chipping, couch was ripped. Breakfast was disgusting.

The hotel stay was terrible. The pull out couch that was advertised as suitable for sleeping was not. There are more comfortable beds in prison. When I complained I was sent to the fourth floor to retrieve a portable bed that, as the clerk said, “might be thicker”. Both mattresses were an inch thick. I would up sleeping on the floor. Marriott should be ashamed. Orbitz should be ashamed for taking my 177 dollars and advertising the room as having a pull out couch suitable for sleeping.

Lovely hotel stay and good pricing

This property is very run down and the staff at the front desk like to hide and play on their phones. I waited almost 10 minutes for a front desk staff member to check me because he was in the back room playing on his phone. Our room was awful. The closest shelves were hanging off the wall and unusable, the dresser was missing drawers, the counter tops had stuck on food, there were random boxes of hardwood flooring throughout our room that the kids could have hurt themselves on, the tub was rusted and missing the drain, and our room never had towels. I had to go to front desk to request towels. There was also no breakfast available even though the hotel is advertised as "Breakfast included."

Single overnite perfect for our needs.
