Star of the Sea Guest House

I have only one recommendation for when I may return . It was a B and B and I would suggest some additional items to the breakfast provided . Cheese , meat ( cold slices ) and bread such as coursiant . Not a sweet bread only such as were the muffins . Also hard boiled eggs . Protein needed for the breakfast. Otherwise I shall surely return for the location , privacy . One more item - I do not watch Tv but possibly a few magazines for light reading .

It was amazing, only comment would be is to have instructions/packet for us, in the entry. We arrived and door was accidentally unlocked, so we did not have any instructions, called and said we were inside already, then received instructions. Great stay, will recommend to anyone!

Would have liked booklet describing points of interest, suggestions for dining, and expectations for breakfast.

Great location to visit White Rock.

The home feels like home away from home and the hostess was so hospitable and went above and beyond to meet my needs. Highly recommend.

I wanted to treat myself & what a treat it was. Comfortable bed, great amenities & WHAT A VIEW!! WOW! Easy to park, close to restaurants & the beach. Very friendly staff. I highly recommend it.

My husband & I enjoyed our stay. No complaints. Only a couple of suggestion. Having white carpet throughout seemed very impractical as the carpet in our sitting area was very badly stained. We also could not understand why they had a baby gate to go upstairs. Seemed strange and very awkward to navigate with our luggage or parcels. Otherwise the bed was comfortable . Everything was clean. The balcony had a lovely view of White Rock and the ocean.

This property could be so great, however; it’s not a B&B if the host is not onsite or ever present. Also cats! Wall to wall carpet and an overwhelming stench of years of cat urine. Cat vomit in the entry. The cats seemed to have the run of the place. We used a code to let ourselves in. Glad neither of us had cat allergies, that would have been dangerous. Our room itself did not smell like urine, once you rant the gauntlet hallway the actual room had a great view, was well stocked with waters, muffins, yogurt, coffee. Like I said, the place has amazing potential. Get someone onsite, ditch the carpet and cats and this place is amazing
