Great location, big rooms and great breakfast options.

Even though the hotel claims that they are a 5-star hotel, it felt more like a 4 star one. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling, the toiletries provided seemed cheap, and the decoration could definitely use an upgrade. The hallway to the room seemed pretty dark and smelled musty. The hotel ambience was as if you were going to steal something and they would charge you even for breathing.

I like everything about this hotel. The staff made my stay very comfortable.

A comfortable stay with excellent dining, but a bit pricey and inconsistent service We recently stayed at the Dann Carlton Barranquilla and had a mixed but generally positive experience. There were several highlights to our stay, along with a few areas that could use some improvement. **The Positives:** * **Comfortable Accommodations:** The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom and shower were perfectly acceptable and met our needs. * **Great Dining:** We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which offered a good variety of tasty options. The rooftop restaurant also served excellent food, and the staff up there were wonderfully warm and attentive. * **Standout Service:** A special mention goes to the bellboys, who were incredibly helpful, polite, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. **Areas for Improvement:** * **Service Inconsistency:** While the rooftop and bell staff were excellent, some of the other hotel staff felt a bit stiff and lacking in warmth. * **Noise Levels:** The room was a bit noisy, which is something to keep in mind if you are a light sleeper. * **Rooftop Menu Value:** While the food at the rooftop restaurant was high quality, the menu felt a bit limited, and we found it to be overpriced for what was offered. **Overall Impression:** It is a very decent and comfortable choice in Barranquilla. If they can bring a bit more warmth to the overall guest service and add more variety to the restaurant menu, it would easily be a top-tier stay.
