La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Corpus Christi-N Padre Isl

On the first day here to my utter surprise I found a tick on the bed and upon further inspection there were roaches under the bed. If I could include photos I would but I cant. Wifi didnt work and when it did, only for a minute or two. Elevator hardly works, hallways stink. The "gym" they had available had no working machines. The most exciting part of the stay was checking out.

I expected better from La Quinta and Wyndham for the money! Mold, mildew, pealing paint. Room smelled bad but it was the second that we had been placed in and were told that they didn't have any other comparable rooms. Breakfast bar was weak, poor in quality and quantity. $250 a night is too much for the poor quality.

Very dirty and outdated.

Property was perfectly located for my use, but was in disparate need of a upgrade/makeover.

Staff was friendly and helpful but hotel was a huge letdown. Thought staying on the island would be nice but should have drove across the bridge and paid much less for a far better room. Grounds were dirty, not clean outside and room was sub par. shower curtains and places on wall had mold. Missing light fixture, hallways didn’t look cleaned. Temp in halls and lobby was warm. Room AC made noises all night and cooled just enough for sleeping. Wouldn’t have said a thing if room was &50-$100 but $146 on weeknight and close to $250 on weekends. Very disappointed and won’t ever stay there again. Should have taken photos.

Not only is there mold everywhere, visible to the eye, but the air is so heavily carrying this that it is obvious by the odor, dampness, and smell. The air is saturated. We did not stay for our reservation, because my wife was having a hard time breathing due to the air quality in the hotel, on top of the state our room was in. It was extremely dirty. We had to leave and find another hotel. Initially it was just the smell, as the lobby “seems” to be clean and provide apparent facade of no issues. It wasn’t until we got to the floor we were assigned to and into the room (room #205) that it was more obvious. The manager (Heather), who was extremely unprofessional, claimed that the hotel had already been inspected by the Corpus Christi Health Department just last week, though this was likely not the case as informed when we contacted the Corpus Christi Health Department and reported the hotel. ALL images taken were sent to the Corpus Christi Health Department. This hotel poses serious health concerns and issues. This is by far the worst experience we have ever had. The state of this hotel (location) is a true embarrassment to the Wyndham chain/franchise/company. One would hope such serious concerns and complaints are not dismissed or ignored by the company or location. If the state in which that hotel finds itself in does not get corrected, there can be serious consequences regarding safety and health of future customers.

Very dirty. Needs upgrade

Great location and nice hotel...only thing we didn't like was that one of the beds had sand towards the feet end like it had been used and not cleaned. But the other bed was fine.

The toilet and bathroom floor were filthy. The bathroom door would not shut easily as it dragged the ground and had to be forcefully closed. The bottom nightstand drawer would not stay shut. The fridge was not cold. There was rust in the bathtub and all over the floor by the ice machine. The bed and linens were comfortable. The hallway was hot and humid.

The bathroom was not as clean as it should have been. Other than that, it was a OK hotel.
