Hotel renovado e com decoração atualizada. Muito confortável. Excelente localização, simpatia dos funcionários e serviço de praia.

Location was superb. Right on the beach and a short taxi to the main sights.

The pool was tiny, deapite the photo suggesting otherwise.

Situated right on the copacaba, you won't find a better location. It's also a 20 minute taxi to Sugarloaf Mountain or to Christ the Redeemer. The room was a good size and well appointed. The view was of a wall. You can understand the price difference between room categories. My friends paid for an upgraded room type though and didn't get it. I just had a standard. Breakfast was a good range of local offerings and more familiar food for Westerners. We dined out in the evening as there were so many places. Would return.

Room was perfect spacious and comfortable. Location was excellent right along the beach near shops, restaurants, markets ect. Very clean hotel rooms serviced daily. No noise in the hotel very peaceful. Staff very accommodating. Lovely rooftop pool and they even borrow towels chairs ect for the beach.

BACK IN RIO! Here I am back in Rio de Janeiro and another great stay at the Grand Mercure Copacabana Hotel. I am always touched by the dedication, professionalism and efficiency of the Hotel Staff. I know I am in Brazil when I arrive in the lobby and look around, I see plants everywhere, the murals, the décor UM PAIS TROPICAL! Mr. Rodrigo Landa, as always you have an exceptional group of people ready to help us with anything we need. Yourself, Mariana C, Daniela, Rene Carvalho and his very efficient Staff at the Front Desk. Ana, Lucas and Leticia, in charge of guests' needs, always ready to help. The restaurants: Casa Alimo with two floors to choose from to enjoy a meal and the Rooftop Vizta Bar with the beautiful view of famous Copacabana Beach. Managed by Wesley, Sebastião and Rita, making sure both restaurants give us a great dining experience. You can choose any Petiscos or Snacks, such as, Del Mar, Bocadinhos and so many more. Main dishes, Ó Pai Ó, Braza e Raiz, Desenrola, Papo Reto, Cavaquinha and others.... Just some of the names that teased my curiosity to want to check them out and or I should say taste them out! Maybe have a Happy Hour with a "Dose de Caipirinha".... why not... a little food adventure, like a true Carioca!!! The Rooftop Bar team always made my meals a great enjoyable experience. Thank you, Fatima, Vitória, Emanuel, Tatiana, Analuz, Claudia, João Marcos, Vicente and Alice with her amazing omelets. All of you (at the bar too) always greeting us with a smile. You made my day! Obrigada! Chef Leo and his team behind the scenes prepare all the delicious food. Muito saboroso! Housekeeping: Bruna and her Staff and Supervisors Mariazinha, and Janielle, among others. Katia P. took such excellent care of my room. In her absence, Elisangela and Maria do Carmo. Thank you all, for making sure I had everything I needed for my comfort. Davi and the Bellboys Staff: Roberto, Aluizio, Creidson, all nine of them, always with a helping hand with our luggage and packages. The Beach Team, Weberson, Gerson, Marlon and Gleison. They make sure we have our beach chairs and umbrellas, sunny or not. On rainy days, there is also a State-of-the-Art gym and Sebastian to guide us if needed. My profound appreciation to everyone (and those I did not name here, the list would be soooo long) for making me feel so welcome, cared for and your thoughtfulness. A localização é excelente para quem quer frequentar a Zona Sul. Fomo smuito bem recebidos pela equipe. Quartos da torre A oferecem bons quartos e nossa suíte era de frente para a praia de Copacabana. Vista perfeita.

Tivemos problema com a fechadura do quarto e foi necessário acionar a manutenção para trocar. Não foi oferecido nenhuma cortesia pelo inconveniente. A limpeza dos quartos não é boa.
