Felt like we were in the most beautiful place in this world!

It was ok! The concept of cottages or bungalows is nice!

The surroundings are quite outdated. There is a bar, but it was closed during our stay; if you're in the mood to relax at the hotel and have a drink, you're out of luck. It might be open during the high season from April to December, but I couldn't find out for sure. Additionally, there’s no reception after 10:00 PM. While there is access to the beach, it isn’t very inviting also the pool!

Manager Davis and the Chef Cita were great people to work with and the food was fabulous, highly recommend this place.

The location is quite nice, overlooking the ocean with a wonderful pool, restaurant and common area. It is a 30 minute walk to Esperanza and another 20 minutes to Sun Bay beach. For this reason you probably want a car or golf cart rental. The staff was superb. Desk managers Lydia and David were so nice and helpful. The restaurant was very good. Overall our Blue Horizon experience was excellent and we love Vieques.

We didn't experience any disappointments. The place lived up to our expectations that were quite high.

Someone had recommended Carambola Restaurant in the Blue Horizon hotel describing the food as wonderful and the grounds beautiful with the opportunity for star gazing. We made reservations for dinner weeks in advance and were looking forward to the experience. The person at the front desk had us sit in the lobby to wait for our table (which was fine, the lobby is beautiful). A few minutes later the server yelled from the restaurant for us to come sit. Then she preceded to rush us through dinner even though we told her we wanted to space out our courses b/c we were on vacation and wanted to really enjoy the whole experience. The food was ok, not outstanding. We were brought our check, asked to pay and then told we could sit in the lobby to finish our drinks. Aside from this, the restaurant and grounds were beautiful, we loved the open air concept of the hotel.

Staff could be better. Hardly any staff. You are on your own.

Blue Horizon Boutique Resort was amazing from the start. Before arrival, spoke to the resort manager, Dave who gave us recommendations for rental car and places to visit. He was extremely friendly, helpful and simply a true pleasure. He did not disappoint when meeting him upon arrival as well. Walked us to our room and even more of a delight in person.
