James Place Inn was a pure Maine experience in the intimate community of Freeport, and within walking distance to many excellent restaurants and taverns. And of course we loved our daily ‘walks’ to LL Bean (Ching Ching). Our Christmas shopping is done! Mary Anne and Bill are natural, down-to-earth hosts who are as engaging as you want. The breakfasts were superb and perfect in quantity served. We can’t wait to come back again someday! Dave and Corinne, Sequim, WA

The owners are super helpful, and go out of their way. We didn’t have to unload or load our luggage. On point advice for dinner choices. Breakfast was so good. Room was clean, and everything worked.

Beautiful and comfortable, a lot of parking spaces, is within walking distance to main street, quiet street, no noise throughout the house, great deck.
