Domaine de la Vingeanne

Hier verbleven op terugreis vanuit Zuid Frankrijk. We kwamen later aan dan verwacht maar werden vriendelijk ontvangen. Het zwembad zou al om 7 uur dichtgaan dus we dachten dat de jongens maar even konden zwemmen (beetje teleurgesteld). Heel fijn dat ze toch iets langer open bleven. Bij aankomst werd verbaasd gereageerd dat we geen beddengoed bij ons hadden (opmerking dat dit altijd zo is bij mensen via Expedia). Heel vriendelijk kregen we van het huis een set linnengoed en hoefden hier niet voor bij te betalen, dat is namelijk best kostbaar voor 1 nachtje. Het huisje is eenvoudig ingericht maar comfortabel. De bedden zijn prima en er is een keuken en een klein ligbad. De TV doet het niet zonder betaling, maar dat vonden we persoonlijk geen probleem. De bediening in het restaurant is redelijk vriendelijk maar veelal de kluts kwijt. Je moet meerdere keren vragen om je drinken, om een glas, om bestek enz. Het eten is ok maar niet spectaculair. Als je geen hoge verwachtingen hebt dan is het prima. Al in al een prima locatie om te stoppen op doorreis. En wellicht ook wel voor een paar dagen.

Suits our needs as an overnight stop on our way south.Pool is great for the kids, room comfortable and well equipped.Not sure I would spend a whole holiday here as not sure there is a enough to do locally.Better by far than a roadside motel.

Travelling south on a journey from the UK to Italy with a small child, I really wanted a quiet, safe place where he could burn off some of the energy that sitting in a car seat for 8 hours had built up. Well... I can't imagine a better place to stop over. Convenient location and easy to find; a friendly and helpful welcome at Reception; easy access to our chalet. The chalet itself was spotlessly clean and well-equipped with a good range of cooking utensils and equipment and comfortable furniture. Amazing water pressure and lots of hot water. On the site complex itself, there was plenty for a little one to do: a trampoline and a bouncy castle, and a lovely swimming pool, and a small playground. If we had wanted it, there was a bar / restaurant too. Heaven. Just five minutes to walk to the shore of the nearby lake. We wanted to stay longer... but had to leave. On the way back to the UK, we made the mistake of staying at the Appart'City in Chalon-sur-Saone. Don't make the same error! Every time now, we will choose Les Chalets de la Vingeanne.

Chalets assez sobres d'aspect et de confort mais cependant un service très bien, un cadre exceptionnel.

Location fine, by the watersports centre. But, someone should be cutting the grass around the challets. It was running wild and rocks everywhere. Green weeds rather than grass pushing up. The interior of the chalet needs finishing. Chipboard walls not even painted. TV in the room, but no remote and no aerial or digibox. All superficial. Kitchen was excellent though, all you need, including a dishwasher. Service was basic, classic feeling that you are at the owners place and not free on holiday. They close during lunch.
