Staff was excellent. They arranged my transportation to and from the airport which I thought was real kind of them. The hotel looks nice, but it's in sure need of an update. Room and bathroom looked a bit tired, but met my needs for a night's rest after a long day of traveling. Breakfast was basic.

There is a complementary airport shuttle. Breakfast is the standard type breakfast. The nice thing is the ground are nice and there is a giant grocery store in front of it. There are also several eating places within a 5 to 10 minute at most. We really love One called the Diner. If you have to stay near Kenilworth, this is the place. Previously we stayed at the airport and did not like it, but I guarantee you we will stay here again the next time we’re in New Jersey.

My room phone didn’t work. My coffeemaker didn't work. The staff said there was no one to fix them on a weekend. Aren’t they busy on a weekend? Shouldn’t they have maintenance people available? I asked for the coffee machine to be replaced. They don’t have any spares, and they’re not allowed to switch coffee makers from room to room. The coffee maker in the lobby is only turned on for breakfast. After that, you’re on your own. There is one hook in the bathroom, at the top of the door. I’m short and couldn’t reach it. Nowhere to hang my towels. The staff was clueless and not accommodating at all. I’m disabled and cannot lift my luggage. At checkout I called the front desk for assistance. No answer. I called three times - no answer. I went to the front desk and asked for assistance. The receptionist said she had no one to help me. No offer to find someone, nothing. The head housekeeper came by and said she would help. I waited 20 minutes. No help. I asked the receptionist to call housekeeping again. She did, and finally someone came. Overall a terrible experience. Poorly trained staff, no clue about customer service and stupid hotel policies.

The room was below standard for the rate charged, noisy fridge, un-ironed beddings and dirty and stained carpet. I complained to the Front Desk about the un-ironed beddings and the lady told me that is the standard across the hotel. I told her I stayed the previous night and that is not the case, but she gave the take-it or leave-it attitude and can’t be asked. No wi-fi signal in the room, informed front desk and the lady was rather schooling me and affirming they have wi-fi signals everywhere in the hotel and I should check my phone. Went back to the room and recorded the evidence and showed it to her and she gave me another rehearsed response without listening and acknowledging the problem. Worst hotel experience in 20 years coupled with the staff can’t be asked attitude and the General Manager’s deception regarding cancellation refund.

The front desk staff was very friendly. They allowed us to check in 1 1/2 hours early and let us store our luggage until check in. The area close to the hotel was safe and walkable. The wifi works really well here.
