I think the price for this room was too high even in peak season.

Everyone has coupons if you partake in their food or entertainment.

Damn heat was on and it was 80 out side, never cooled down. Horrible sleeping conditions. This should be checked by room cleaners, Or staff. Nobody to check it as no employees of hotel on site. NOT GOOD. SUSPICIOUS GUESTS. UNEASY STAY

1. Rude Staff: The room did not have an Iron and an ironing board. I called the front desk and asked if they had an additional iron we could borrow. There was a girl who said "if there is not in the room then there is none available". I asked that I understand there is none available and since all the rooms are not booked for this place, could you check to see if you can find out and provide one for us? She said "Call back in 5 minutes." The way she said it was not so good and it was clear to me that after 5 minutes call she will say that there is none available. So I did not wanted to hear her rudeness and I never called. I believe the management needs their staff to be trained properly from Canadian Customer Service Industry because Canadians do anything to ensure their customers are satisfied. Very poor Service. 2. Cleanliness: The room was not clean when we check in, it looked like there could be bed bugs. 3. Pet Friendly: I paid for a pet friendly room and they charged pet services, but the beds were not pet friendly as my pets were kept hiding under the bed and it was really hard to get them out from under the bed. Management must consider that the beds are pet friendly and the pets must not get hidden under the bed. 4. The office for this location is not even on the property itself. It is really not nice that staff is rude on the phone and no one is actually available in the office on site. You will need to walk about 5 minutes to go to a different motel and that is where they are operating for this site.

Washroom locking fridge not working

Check in was difficult because there are 4 different motels in a row that all check in at the Thunderbird (Starlight motel, Budget motel, Great Lakes motel, as well as Thunderbird) therefore, the staff has very little time to deal with problems. Our room had a broken lamp shade, a plug in that was half hanging out of the wall—I could have dealt with these, but the worst thing was there was a baseboard heater that was throwing out heat and could not be turned off. It was 85 degrees outside, and the room was unbearable. When i complained, the desk clerk said, “oh, that happens sometimes “ I said that we wouldn’t be able to sleep, and please could we have another room? He said they were full, the best they could do was call a maintenance man, but he couldn’t get there until after 11pm. Long story short, we were so desperate to get some sleep that we ended up paying $160 more for a room that was cool. It was a king, where our original room was a queen, but what a racket! I was extremely disappointed. They said because I had booked through Expedia they couldn’t give a refund, I don’t know if it’s true,

Not clean. Switched us to budget in. Beside a large open garage door full of dirty laundry

You get what you pay for at Starlite

Staff's attention is excellent, they were all very kind. The furniture and facilities are quite old and there's not enough lighting in the room. Even though it was clean, there was an ammonium smell in the room.
