Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Laurel Near Fort Meade

I checked out 5 days early and the manager wanted to credit me for only 3.

The front desk staff were polite, courteous, and professional.

Unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect of my stay. The property was noticeably unclean and poorly maintained. There were cobwebs on the ceiling, hair on the bathroom faucet, a broken TV remote, and smudges on the mirror. Multiple surfaces showed stains, drips, and sticky residue, suggesting that housekeeping standards were not being adequately maintained. In addition, trash and dirt were present throughout the hallways and stairwells, further detracting from the overall condition of the hotel. Given that the room rate was approximately $200 per night for a room with two queen beds, I expected a significantly higher standard of cleanliness and upkeep. At this price point, the quality of the accommodations should reflect the cost. Unfortunately, the condition of the property fell well short of reasonable expectations.

Stuffiness, mustiness, worn carpet… hallway smell like cigarettes

Affordable. Spacious rooms. Great location.

Interaction with staff. Some need training on how to communicate respectfully with customers.

The location was close to where I had to be. The evening desk clerk was very friendly and helpful.

There were black spots in the tub that I could just wipe away. Kind of like tiny dead bugs. I'm not sure what it was. There was no refrigerator. I have medicine that I need to keep cold. The daytime clerk seemed apathetic. All of my chargers (including my oxygen) failed to stay in most of the outlets. Even the things plug in from the hotel failed to stay. So I had to unplug a lamp so I could have an outlet where my cord would stay connected.
