Club Fiji Resort

My wife was sick (wih a doctors certificate) so I asked them to transfer dates to a week later. They said they could but needed expedia to do it. '(Surprise wotif are owned by expedia)They didnt even try to contact expedia for us. Expedia didnt respond to me or Wotif and so we lost our money. Dont book this place via Wotif they just want your money. The addage is true these booking sites have a mantra: Deny, delay, defere and ignore.

Great spot for a chilled week. Not flashy, but you’ll find everything you need — just on relaxed Fijian time. The place is a bit dated, but the staff are amazing and make you feel right at home.

It is excellent location and on the backwaters of the sea (not real beach). But indeed great location, we can see both sunrise on and sunset from this beach side

The good: the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The natural beauty and views from the resort is hard to beat. The property has unlimited potential. The bar and seating areas are lovely and the pools are nice. Lots of places to sit and relax. The entertainment was good and the bartender at night was fantastic and friendly. We were lucky to be at the resort for Kava night where they provided free kava and it was a great time. There was a great range of other guests. The bad: the rooms were dirty, lots of mold around the shower and bathroom. Lots of caked up dust in other areas, did not feel clean at all. When we first arrived there were tiny ants in the bed, the room smelt mildewy. The food was o k, all around 3-4/10, although the pizza was okay and the people serving in the pizza restaurant were very polite. Although there were a lot of great qualities, I don't think this place is up to westerners standards, however some small changes would go a long way.

Internet access was okay but no phone in the room

If I was reviewing this property after the first two days, it would be much more positive. It's a lovely property, and the staff were mostly very friendly, but the last two days were pretty bad. I had great service right up until I invited a local from an Indian background for a drink at the bar, where the waitress blanked me and was overtly rude and dismissive, to the point where other guests asked her to serve me. This same person was on breakfast duty the next morning, where the service was eaully indifferent, there were no plates, which I asked to be provided, and then also no glassed for juice. She started packing up the milk for coffee before I'd sat down with my breakfast. The property is a bit isolated, so there is no shoip, bar or restaurant that isn't a tax ride away, and desipite this I was mostly happy, but that one member of staff ruined things oin the last 2 days.

Lovely relaxed resort; very friendly staff

Easy ride to nadi town about 10 minutes by taxi,beach bure need updating,quite old ,no tv or glass windows,just wooden shutters,bathroom about two stars.Overall a nice stay,pool,bar and resort grounds are lovely as well as all the staff
