Hotel Los Arcos

Disappointing stay at Hotel Arcos. The photos are very misleading as are many reviews. This hotel is very tired and rather shabby. The superior room advertised with a large terrace was very misleading. In reality,the terrace was small, with shabby sunbeds and overlooking a huge active and noisy building site. Whilst this is in no way the hotel's fault, they really should not charge more for these rooms at this time as it is too noisy to sit out between 7.30 am and 6pm and there is certainly no sea view! The pool area could be very pleasant, but again it is shabby with old sunbeds with ill fitting matresses. It is also not cleaned at the end of the day so looks very messy in the morning. The staff at Los Arcos were delightful and helpful and the breakfast was more than adequate. It is quite a trek into the town, but once there, it is lively and very pleasant . A taxi back each evening was around 7 euros. Overall, the hotel just needs a bit of TLC and some money spent on updating it. It feels very run down.

The pictures represent it well. It is an older property but well maintained and convenient to the beach , grocery store and restaurants.

There is nothing that I can fault at this hotel without sounding petty or picky it really was a great experience and I would not hesitate to stay here again. Everything from checking in to checking out was client orientated. The receptionist took us to our room and even opened the door for us as well as offering to help with our luggage. The room was just like in the photos well appointed and comfortable if I could pick up on any minuses it would only be the size of the ensuite but even that was adequate if a bit on the small side, the shower was lovely and powerful and the terrace to the room was quite a good size. The bed was extremely comfortable and for a hotel the TV was quite large too, the room was also equipped with both AC and a ceiling fan. The food was of a very high quality and if you go you must try the prawns in champagne sauce they are to die for. I highly recommend this great little hotel.

Very friendly, modern and clean. A coffee machine in each room was an excellent touch. Pool area was wonderful

The hotel itself provided what we needed. Comfortable room. Very nice pool area with views over Nerja. Very clean, and staff friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was okay- plenty of choice but just a bit so-so. Bit out of the main area which is good from a peace/sleep perspective but meant we ‘ate in’ more than intended. There is a bus into the centre of Nerja from close by but it appeared to stop fairly early in terms of returning. Taxi could be a possibility to get back. Easy to walk to the caves from here - which are definitely worth a visit.

Booked A Room with ocean view View a brick wall ,Breakfast very poor However Staff were very friendly I would not stay here again I visit Nerja at least twice a year and I have never stayed anywhere as bad as Los Argos
