The Inn on Fleming

I loved everything about this property! Although not my first time visiting KW, it was my first time staying close to the action. The property is just as described, traditional Florida bed-and-breakfast. It has all you need! However, if you are expecting a resort-like area, stay in a resort.

We loved the location of the property. Easy walkable to Duval and other places of interest. It is a nice, quiet neighborhood. Unfortunately, on our second night, a lady was screaming on the phone from 12 am until 2:30 am. Obviously, she was drunk and we were not very sure where she was actually staying in the place. Light breakfast and plenty of drinks were always available. Very clean. The bathroom is very small, but it is a historic building and that’s typical in my experience. Definitely not a dealbreaker for me. Again, all great until the third night. At 1:30 am, someone started banging a door repeatedly for about 3-4 minutes. Woke up pretty much the entire building. The moment it stopped, all went back to great. Not a problem of the place, but uncomfortable for us, since it took a bit to fall asleep again. I guess this was just bad luck and we will definitely give the place another chance in the future. Parking is a challenge but that is a generalized problem on Key West. The Ferry Terminal is very close by and we might try that version the next time. All in all definitely a nice place we want to go back to.

Conveniently located and quiet. Loved the complimentary breakfast and happy hour options. Water pressure could be a little better.

Very nice place to stay. Room was clean and tidy. The shared kitchen area is full of fruits and snacks. Along with pretty much whatever you’d like to drink. All complimentary. Yes beer and wine as well. Oh, and there’s a beer fridge out by the pool. We had a nice quiet stay. Thanks to the staff for everything.

Good location and did not need a car. We rented a golf cart one day from down the street one day to go to the beach. Our room was comfortable but needs a little tlc and a refresh. Cracked tiles in the bathroom, door between the bed areas did not close,

My friend and I stayed in the Hemingway room for 5 nights in April 2024. On the positive side, the staff was quite friendly and helpful. We were able to check in a bit early, which was very convenient. My friend needed bandaids at one point - and we both asked about grabbing a snack from the fridge after breakfast hours and were met with a gracious response. The area is super cute and perfectly walkable to anywhere you may want to go. The room's temperature control was very good and we got nice fresh towels every day. On the other hand, the room was not very clean: we found a previous guest's item under the bed and the upholstery on the two chairs was worn and quite dirty. The bathroom was very small and had a shelf jutting out that I bumped into several times (I'm not a big person), with a big bruise to show for it. The shower was barely a trickle. The grounds were worn and badly in need of fixing and painting (decking was warped and wonky). The "pool" was a small space with leaf litter at the bottom and all near it. It was good to soak feet in after walking many miles, but we never saw anyone in it - for good reason. They were very proud of the great coffee they served but only offered a pump bottle of Coffeemate with it. We could hear every word and every flush from the folks staying in the next room - thankfully they were not loud people. All in all, I'd choose a different place in the same area next time. The photos were not representative of the reality.

Great place to stay in Key West. Walkable to mostly everything but far enough off Duval St for peace and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Free snacks, beer and wine available at any time. Would definitely stay again.
