Amethyst Garden

Staff was magnificent. Location was great. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable I've ever had.

Inability to control Hvac from the room.

Amethyst Garden's location, the garden, the breakfast, and the cleanliness were pleasant. The stay was a step back in time to a late 1800's Victorian home with a tastefully designed interior limited to room lights, receptacles, and running water.

While quiet outside and in, the nights were genuinely fraught with dread as we regularly endured what we could only describe as a presence lurking in our room. We stayed at other places during our trip without incident, but here at AG, it quickly became apparent as night fell that we were unwelcome by the entity(s) residing or moving through our room recurring nightly around 3am. We are typically not ones to live in fear, but in this instance, protection and prayer throughout the nights were our only comfort.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. Manager was very kind, professional and helpful, she made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful, with a great variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day perfectly. Everything was tasty and beautifully presented. Our room has a wonderful terrace and the whole hotel is so picturesque. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, excellent service, and a great overall experience.
