Amethyst Garden

I can't say enough kind words about Chemise, who runs the inn. She is welcoming and accommodating and makes a delicious breakfast. The inn is a beautiful Victorian house with a lovely garden out back. We found the location to be perfect. It is a quiet street within walking distance of the river and Forsyth Park. Free parking was a plus too.

Although the inn is lovely, staying in the lower level does not give you any sense of staying in a beautiful, historic place. Other than a bit of brick wall-it's all modern. You are out back and don't feel like you are part of the house at all. It's a lot of money to be in what feels like a room in a basement with a laminate floor and a vent coming out from under your bed. Also, there is no thermostat in the room. We were okay with a fan, but it was a bit warm.

Amazing, best B & B breakfasts ever!

Such a beautiful and historic house. We stayed in the Dalila room and it was so lovely! Chemise was a wonderful host and the daily breakfast was so yummy!

We loved everything about the property our room was exceptional Chemise our hostess was exceptional made a great breakfast for all guest in the AM ….. thourougly enjoyed everything !

This was an amazing experience! If you want to step into the past, then this is the place to stay. Our hosts were most gracious and helpful.
