USThis was a wonderful step back in time to dark-wood elegance, stained-glass lighting, with a great sense of spaciousness from so many different locations both inside and outside for either group activities or simply being off by oneself. While the historic atmosphere was superb (with little touches everywhere), the service was modern, personable, and excellent. Hot water in the rooms was instantaneous. The restaurant menu while not very large, was interesting (if a little pricey). All of the listed deserts were tempting. The food was excellently prepared, in very large portions, and we enjoyed the wine.
The sharp left turn off the main road when arriving at the summit from the east can be a little daunting.
