The Stowe Village Inn

Kind and attentive to our needs

Pros: I loved the walking distance to the village. Very very clean room and bathroom. Cons: mattresses were sinking on both sides. We were staying in the outside motel style and it was extremely noisy since the parking was outside the door. To top it all, their were tractor compressor machines leveling the parking areas- it felt like an earthquake with the whole room buzzing and shaking. The outside cabins should have closed while this work was being done. It was unbelievable. Lastly, it rained both nights we were there and it hit our window ac unit which did not have a roof so it kept us awake!

Perfect hotel! We opted for their motel type rooms behind the inn at a cheaper rate, but still received all the benefits of the inn. We booked #19 which had two queen beds. We parked right outside the room which felt very secure. The room was immaculate. The duvet was fully encapsulated so your skin never touches a blanket or comforter (a benefit for those of us who are germ freaks). Super soft bright white sheets and fluffy towels. The bathroom is tiny but spotless and so cute. Fridge in room and light blocking shades. The window unit stayed on consistently with a pleasant hum rather than shutting off and on all night. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Very easy walking distance to a grocery store and town. Highly recommend!

Our first stay here was just an overnight on our way to Canada. (Not exactly on the way, but Stowe is a favorite New England town!) From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel anticipated and most welcome. Our room was lovely and fresh and much bigger than any hotel room. The restaurant at the inn is a destination in and of itself. We ate on the porch and marveled at the lovely view. Informal but fine dining, to be sure. We left the next morning wishing we had booked two nights instead of one.

All of the front desk staff were very friendly, everything was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and we really enjoyed the complimentary coffee & selection of tea available in the lobby daily. We also enjoyed the fire pit & sitting on the porch

Wonderfully maintained historic inn provides excellent rooms in a charming atmosphere. Comfortable beds, well equipped bathrooms, quality coffee and tea in the mornings make staying at this inn very pleasant. The lack of breakfast is compensated by an outstanding bakery only 5 mins walking distance away.

The property was clean, hospitable, and cozy!

This is an absolutely fabulous place to stay. As a Vermonter, I brought my cousin here who just loved it. It's already a great place to stay, but the staff puts it over the top, from the person at the desk to the wait staff to the bartender go above and beyond to help one out. I would highly recommend this inn to anybody.

We had a great stay at the Stowe Village inn. Staff were all so helpful and friendly. The room was very nice and so clean. The restaurant onsite was delicious. Dining out in the porch was lovely. Location was perfect. Highly recommend!
