The Sebel Launceston

Nice hotel with excellent restaurant within a short walk of central Launceston area. We booked a one bedroom suite with a bath. We enjoyed the bath after all the hiking we had done

Slightly dated decor. Our room had a view of an expansive tin roof. USB points for charging devices without needing a plug would be helpful

You couldn’t pre book car parking , but i did get a parking space on arrival

Good sized room. Very spacious living area. Separate shower and toilet is helpful too. Free washer and dryer is very helpful! Location is good if you drive. Paid parking is available at hotel (limited)

Not very quiet as we can hear people running/walking/talking along the corridors Slightly away from supermarkets Parking is limited and parking lots are very narrow.

Very comfortable, great location - near river and not far from the centre, friendly helpful staff.

We had meals one night at the hotel’s restaurant and I had a disappointing flavourless pasta duck ragu.

We love the location of the place it was central. We love how clean and neat the rooms are. We love the decor and it was so aesthetic and pleasing to look. All the things we need like linens, towels, sheets, pillows, kitchenwares, laundry are all provided.

The kitchen can be improved. The pans, the stovetop, the rangehood were dated. I was making breakfast in the morning when I sustained a minor burn on my arm because the pan was unstable, it was like a flimsy aluminum pan. It should be replaced.

We've done , in September , a 3 nights booking on the Airbnb website at the Sebel hotel for a 3 bedrooms appt on the NYE...everything was settled and paid. When we've called the hotel the day before our arrival (because we had a problem with our other booking and wanted to add a night , "available" on the Booking calendar at that time) the Sebel staff finally told us that they have to cancel our apartment booking for 6 persons ( 4 adults + 2 young kids )?! 24h prior our arrival !!! Supposedly because of a technical problem in the apartment... Glad we've called them or we maybe never knew our booking was finally cancel and discovered it the D-Day ?! No need to say that 2 days before the NYE we've been really disappointed and really in trouble to find something else able to fit our big group , even if the Sebel refunded and proposed us a smaller appt > it looks like a double booking with Airbnb and Booking websites happened.

Comfy beds, friendly staff, spacious apartment, short walk to shops, Boags brewery, restaurants and CBD. Will stay here agsin.
