The location is superb - it would be hard to find a more central base for exploring the city. Everything is within easy walking distance, making it ideal for sightseeing, dining, and enjoying the local atmosphere. Breakfast was very good, and the two ladies who looked after guests each morning were absolutely outstanding. They were attentive, caring, and genuinely welcoming, bringing a warmth and small-town charm that made each day start on a positive note. The hotel also has a lovely rooftop bar and restaurant, offering a great place to relax and enjoy the views after a day of exploring.

A few points to be aware of before booking. If you're sensitive to noise, this may not be the right place for you. The hotel sits directly opposite the Cathedral, and the church bells ring every half hour. The view is beautiful and adds to the charm of the location, but it does come with a noticeable level of noise. The room key cards were also a bit temperamental and needed to be reactivated several times during our stay. We noticed that the water initially appeared slightly cloudy or milky white when first turned on, although it cleared after running for a short time. We forgot to ask about the cause, so this may have been a temporary issue. One point to note is that the mattresses are on the firmer side, which may suit some guests more than others. The pillows are fibre-filled and quite dense, so those who prefer softer or more supportive pillows may find them less comfortable. If you're staying on the top floor, be aware that visitors accessing the bar walk directly past some of the guest room doors. There is a door separating this corridor from the guest area, but it was not always kept locked during our stay. While we experienced no problems, the level of access felt a little uncomfortable at times.

The Catedral hotel is a friendly and welcoming place situated in the heart of Almeria City. The facilities are clean and spacious and the staff professional and responsive, my husband and I will be staying here more often. Special mention to all the helpful reception staff (particularly Rosario) who ensure that guests experience a comfortable and tranquil stay.

Très bel hôtel situé face à la cathédrale sur une superbe place. Il est proche des commerces et des restaurants. Emplacement idéal pour découvrir la ville. Chambre spacieuse, lit très confortable. Le personnel est très agréable et disponible.
