Grecotel LUXME Kos

Amazing holiday. Family bungalow was perfect for a family of four. Staffs were all welcoming and friendly. Excellent dining options and lovely cocktails.

Mir hat es gefallen, dass wir sehr willkommen empfangen wurden (welcome drink) und während wir auf unser Zimmer gewartet haben, haben wir sogar ein Mittagsessen bekommen. Frühstücksauswahl war riesig und jeder hat was gefunden.

Mir hat es nicht gefallen, dass Besucher um 6 Uhr aufstehen um eine Liege zu reservieren. Das hieß, auch wenn man um 8 Uhr an den Pool wollte, gab es keine/1-2 Liegen frei. Außerdem hat mir das Salzwasser in den Pools nicht gefallen.

- Main buffet restaurant was good (good quality food and good overall selection) - grounds are well kept and overall nice decor (excluding the rooms) - beach is very serene (pebbley) - some of the staff are very good

- checkin took ages (they also forgot the refreshments they said they would send over) - not ideal after arriving after a long flight with a young child - we booked a premium sea front 'Bungalow' room whereas the room we got was on the first floor with no garden (and no space to walk between bed and cot). When discussing with front desk we were told that this is the category that Grecotel deem as a bungalow room. - room was tatty (taped wires, wood decking on balcony splintering, stained upholstery, bathrooms v dated, synthetic pillows) - ants in room everywhere (got into clothes and toiletry bags) - there is no aircon in any area of the hotel apart from rooms (in the middle of a August heatwave this was unbearable), there is not even one restaurant for lunch with ac - they say that there are kids snacks available all day but there are very limited choices at specific times - the staff are not trained enough to know where the kids snacks are (we asked 4 different people who did not know and in the end were sent to reception who sent us to the kids club where they had apples and bananas and some stale danish pastries) - the kids club space is pretty poor for a 5 star hotel - one of the worst features is the ridiculous practice of reserving pool beds, at 8am almost all the beds had towels on them every day. The hotel really needs to take a look at this as its a real issue. - pool towels didn't feel clean and sometimes were damp upon collection

Perfect location, delicious breakfast and food, truly ideal for a relaxing family vacation.

Der Service ist wirklich top, die Lage vom Hotel ist top, und auch das Essen ist sehr vielfälltig wirklich gut. Zugang zum Meer ist perfekt. Auch währed der Wartezeit am letzten Tag zwischen 11 Uhr und 18 Uhr vor der Abfahrt zum Flughafen, wurden wir umsorgt und gut betreut, nochmasl extra Duschen, und extra Gutschein für ein Essen, wirklich vorzüglich.

Die Badeinrichtung für 5 Sterne habe ich mir besser vorgestellt, Badewannendusche, aus der sehr kleinen Handbrause kam ein minimaler Wasserstrahl, die Amatur am Waschbecken locker , die Türe zum Bad quitscht und braucht einen Kundendienst. Die Aufzüge haben dringenden Servicebedarf, die Türe ging nicht immer zu, dauerte manchmal einige Anläufe bis sie zu ging. Der zweite Aufzug war z. Zt. ausser Betrieb. Ein Erlebnis mit Eis an der Poolbar hat mich irritiert. Mein Sohn 3 Kugeln , ich drei Kugeln, jedenfalls habe ich 24 € extra bezahlt. Für eine Kugel Eis 4 € finde ich nicht ok. Vielleicht hat sich die Mitarbeiterin vertippt und ich habe nicht ausgepasst.

Staff was so kind and helpful at all times. That they offered us free lunch on the first and the last day was so kind and generous.
