The location was beautiful, range of facilities.

Arrival after three wanted to have food kitchen was closed until five. At dinner asked if we wanted dessert replied yes, they forgot to bring the menu just left without dessert. Due to a wedding they weren’t serving cocktails in the Drams bar. These three incidents over a bank holiday were disappointing.

There was nowhere to eat when we arrived in the afternoon. No crisps even in the bar! Tried to get room service because of no food being available but had to wait until 4pm. Then they charged a surcharge. We had no other option of food at all!! To use the pool would cost £25 at an arranged time slot. Aesthetically pretty and tidy hotel but unfortunately lacking in about everything else!!. I suggest The pool should be free to use and at the very least sandwiches available on request if no other options available. Such a shame. The hotel is not what it used to be….

Make access to food/sandwiches available throughout the day. Do not charge £25 to use the pool. Do not place notified elderly people in the most inaccessible rooms. Common sense.

The spa is great, been before so returned especially for that.

The room was very dated, could do with a new carpet, new bathroom and wallpaper. The room we stayed in last time was much nicer, it had underfloor heating in the bathroom, bath and the room was very spacious. The floor boards were very squeaky walking around the bed and there were stairs from the door down to the bed. Definitely not worth £233 for one night! Then had to pay for the spa on top of that. It was disappointing that they decided to close the spa pool with very short notice to us too as we were coming especially for the spa.

For 240 a room I feel it's shocking you don't get access to spa and breakfast last year when I was here was under that price and didn't have to pay for spa witch personally I think should come with it the whole reason we booked it because we loved the spa last time I won't be back

The spa was superb. Really excellent. It was clean, well managed and staff available to help when required. The hotel and restaurant stuff were also very helpful and attentive. The grounds were well maintained.

We upgraded our room to an executive King room but when we arrived the room had a number of carpet stains. The room itself self was clean however the stains made us feel a little uneasy. We could over look one maybe but there were a number. It was the same story when we moved rooms however the second room was far better.
