Shaw House Inn

Location was good.

It was disappointing. Rather than finding a charming old home turned into a B&B, we found an old run-down building in need of repair and refurbishing. In addition, we were early for breakfast, and even though it was ready, and the cook did not appear to be overly busy, she could not accommodate us by providing us with a plate of food that was, according to her, ready to be served. We just left.

Besutiful facility in a quiet little town with amazing, friendly hosts. Highly recommended.

Safety for older people like us. No adequate handrail on out side step Narrow stairs for upstairs rooms Our room did not have a shower only a claw foot tub- Sink top slid-did not seem appropriately attached to wall Other bedrooms seem to have better facilities

We loved the historical charm of this bed and breakfast and were enchanted by the sweet town of Ferndale. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was farm fresh, homemade, and delicious!
