Rawi Warin Resort and Spa

When we first arrived we were given beautiful garlands for our wrists, a cold flannel and a cup of some Thai tea. It was a lovely touch. Our first room was 3 flights of stairs up. I can’t keep climbing these stairs but they changed our room very quickly. They don’t like you to open your balcony doors cause of the monkeys that are around resort. The beach is a few yards away and has sunbeds , parasol and towels available. Drinks and food are also available from the pool bar. Excellent. We had an excellent evening of bbq , music and fire show (extra cost of course) but it was well worth it. Staff are so friendly and the hotel is spotless. Would love to spend more time here but moving on .

Excellent hotel on a beautiful island. I spent my Birthday here and could not have been made more welcome. The rooms are lovely, although those with mobility issues will find it challenging. The grounds are lovely , the pool and beach area are excellent though getting a sun bed can be difficult. The breakfast is excellent though getting usually very busy. There are many restaurants in easy reach and Klong Dhao beach is a must.

The grounds, reception and restaurants areas are very clean and pleasing to look at. The staff are wonderful, especially housekeeping and waiting staff. As for being a 5* hotel, perhaps it is if you book one of the better rooms. We stayed in a Deluxe room, which you would expect to be good in a 5* resort, sadly not! very average. Bathroom was tired, bedroom basic; also up 3 flights of steps which we were not warned about. We were also locked out of our room on 3 occasions, which when you have walked up 3 flights is not ideal. We had to find a member of staff to come to our aid each time, resulting in the door lock being changed. The Breakfast experience was not always pleasant; however, this was more down to large numbers of guests and not being able to walk easily through to the buffet. Although there was a good selection of food option and of good quality. On reflection this is a family resort, suited best to families not older couples like ourselves. We also did not like the ransom on the beach towels being given a card, valued at 800 t baht, again this is probably a reflection on the clientele not being trusted to return them each day. Ending on a positive, there was a beautiful sunset each day which is very enjoyable with a happy hour cocktail from the pool bar. Overall not a 5* experience for us.

We stayed in one of the beachfront villas at Rawi Warin and it was fabulous. The villa itself was clean, well-appointed and beautiful, with a spectacular view of sunset, and the ocean just steps from our yard. The resort staff were all friendly, helpful and responsive -- they assisted us with taxis and scooter rental. The breakfast buffet was the best I've ever had -- it was fresh, abundant, delicious and included just about anything you might want to eat, while the coffees/teas were the best I had while traveling in Thailand. This is not an economic hotel/resort, but if you have the budget for Rawi Warin and are looking for something more upscale than most, I highly recommend it. We also enjoyed the monitor lizards occasionally roaming the grounds. The beach at Rawi Warren is lovely at high tide, but there are quite a lot of rocks at low-tide that make swimming more difficult during that period. The beach at Rawi Warin is separated from the rest of Klong Nin by rocks and a creek, so you have to go around by footpath or road to access the livelier parts if Klong Nin, but it's close enough/walkable. Our only complaint is that the villa pool was so pleasant we spent more time lounging there and less time exploring than we planned.

Absolutely fabulous! Lovely hotel, beautiful setting, on the beach. Very well organised, lovely food and great freindly service, all the staff are lovely and very helpful. A special shout out to Mr Mee on the pool bar you made our stay very special. We'll be back

This is a lovely beach front resort. If I had been traveling with children I would want to be closer to the main pool/beach area. As it was I was on a tour and was in one of the hillside buildings (800) which turned out ok because of the hillside pool (no drink service up there though). They do have carts that will shuttle you up and down the hill as needed. My room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet had a lot of variety and the food was very good. If you're unable to get an appointment at the spa there is a beach side massage hut as well as a small restaurant about 100 yards down the beach from the resort. It seems a very family oriented property.

Amazing stay for our first long haul family holiday. Rawi Warin was brilliant - the room was stunning and very comfortable and the facilities throughout the hotel are all brilliant - amazing breakfast buffet, 2 great pools in the main area, pool bar and restaurant was superb. The staff throughout the resort were amazing and our 2 year old loved it. We would not hesitate to book again.

For a high-end accommodation, they are overly concerned about charging guests for everything.They are also very stubborn with helping resolve problems - didn’t give us the room we booked, no ac the first night, no water for washing/toilet the next morning; and they were rude to us for complaining about it and asking for a resolution. I’m sure most people have a great stay here, but we did not. I expected more for a $600 CAD per night room.

Way to big and over price. Can not walk to beach. Must wait for car to go anywhere. Not convenient. Its not real thailand

Property is beautiful. Rooms are average. Beach is rocky. Location is remote. Breakfast is subpar. Coffee at breakfast is a Nescafe machine. Hotel gives you a card to keep track of the towels you request throughout your stay. Everything is extra. Property is pretty kid-oriented. Sevice is frankly terrible. If you’re used to luxury and good service look elsewhere.
