Quality Inn Michigan City South

Not very customer friendly, hallways smelled of stale cigarettes. So did some of the rooms we change rooms twice.

Place was nice. Quiet and 10 minutes from Indiana Dunes and Washington park . Both hare beautiful beaches.

Good clean hotel. Staff was friendly. Room was clean and neat. Close to the beach on Lake Michigan

Staff was friendly when we arrived. Place is definitely aged. Rooms are only cleaned upon request for shorter stays. Which we were not aware of. However there is a sign in the room that is easily missed. When sheets moved off of bed, mattress has disgusting stain all over them. They offer a continental breakfast but no coffee was available and no attendant at that time to remedy situation. While convenient to a highway a bit of a hike to the lake or outlet mall. There is a pool, but never saw it in use. Small. There is ample parking and felt safe inside and outside of area.

The area where hotel is located seemed unsafe. Did not feel comfortable staying there.

We had a king suit. Cons we had 2 sinks 1 not working in room, rolly pully bugs in room, door handles needed cleaned, breakfast all carbs and outdoor property dirty ran down. Pros best bed ever so comfy, hor water, clean room, NO BED BUGS, nice pool, staff very nice. The location very close to dunes and pier. Would i stay again yes but only 2 nights in a row any longer id need something.ething else. You do get the minimum while here. I beleive i paid way to much should be under $100 a night.

The hotel hallways were very dirty and the breakfast was deficient of any protein - often the milk was gone for cereal and the juice was flavorless and watery. The room was dirty and carpets were filthy. The floors had stick substance on them that stained our socks. In addition red blotches from something often in various locations in the room They had one tiny garbage can and room services were only allowed every three days and we stayed for 6. The clerk at the desk did not explain anything to us about WiFi or breakfast. There was no information in the room. We found the information in tiny text on the room entry badges. We would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The parking lot was blocked often with a large bus or semi trucks which made parking difficult and hazardous. I reported this to the Hotel Management and they said nothing. Expedia Charged us $623.47 for the room but the hotel gave us a receipt and they only charged $471.78

Sheets were dirty, stains on mattress, floor, walls. Glass picture In room broken. Breakfast was better than nothing. Night check-in staff was very nice and conscientious.
