One night stay on an extended business trip

Grounds are kept reasonably well considering the lodge is scheduled to close permanently in about two-three months.

Excellent staff, kept the food warm & refilled and refiled Coffee too. Very clean area, good variety.

Wanted a Bloody Mary but bar not open yet.

The bathroom tile was a little slippery, and the grab bar in the shower was not well placed. I was in a cast, so this was a pretty important feature for me. Otherwise, i like the property and will likely be back.

The property is old and apparently not getting regular upkeep. However, the showers have excellent water pressure and hot water for an old place.

The location was very good

Had to deal with a noise issue, that caused loss of sleep. The guest next door had their TV on, and the volume was on very loud. It was on from 11:30 PM to 3:30AM. I had to call the front desk 3 separate times to have them take care of the issue. My first call was at 12:30AM. At that time I was informed that they would call the room and have security know on their door to have them turn down the noise. After my last call at 3:30 I found out that the hotel did not follow through with calling the room or knocking on their door. I was told that security could not hear any TV noise, although the could see that the TV was on in the room. I finally asked for security to come to our room and hear for themselves how loud it is. Before I made the last call I went into the hall and could hear the TV. By the time security showed up, the person in the other room finally turned off the TV. I expect that they heard me calling about the noise again. So, the issue was never handled and I didn't get enough rest for my 6 hour drive.

it was very peaceful!

I loved the location and the feel of peace while walking through the grounds. All the trees were just incredible and the grounds are well tended.

The smell of musty , moldy oldness when entering the bedroom.
