We checked in for a stay of 3 nights. Day 1 were allocated room 505. Since we had checked-in in the evening we did not notice the broken floor tiles and uneven tiles which posed a hazard of tripping. We complained about it next morning and were shifted to room 506 next door. We were out the whole day and when we returned in the evening the room had a very bad smell. We called reception and they sent housekeeping staff to come and spray the room. This was a temporary fix as the smell reappeared later in the night and we again complained about it in the morning and asked one of them to come to the room and have a whiff of the bad smell. They agreed that it was a bad smell so moved us again to 306 this time. This room was ok but the basin tap was very tight and when opening it less would make the water flow onto the benchtop instead of the basin thus making a mess on the benchtop. For 3 nights we had to sleep in different rooms wasting our limited time in packing our bags and moving. The housekeeping needs to up their game. Also the people at the reception need to be sent for retraining as not a single of them greeted you with a smile when passing the area. I would definately not recommend this hotel as they charge premium rates for sub-standard rooms.

"Extremely Disappointing Experience: Unethical staff extorting money from vulnerable guests"

Extremely Disappointing Experience As someone who has been traveling and staying in hotels across India and around the world for over 20 years, I have experienced a wide range of hospitality standards. Being a Canadian national born and brought up in India, and having spent a significant part of my life in Mumbai, I hold a deep appreciation for quality service and guest care. Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel fell far short of any reasonable expectation. I had planned to prepare for my wedding at this hotel, intending to accommodate my family and host makeup artists and photographers in a comfortable and supportive environment. To facilitate this, I booked three rooms for eight guests, spending nearly ₹70,000 for a two-night stay. To avoid any misunderstandings, I visited the hotel a few days prior to confirm our arrangements. However, I was met with an unexpected and disappointing response. Initially, the hotel cited “security reasons” for not allowing external artists, only to later propose an additional charge of ₹1,500 per person for their entry. Additionally, the hotel demanded the names of all guests staying in each room, which felt unnecessarily invasive. To make matters worse, they restricted us to a single key for a triple-occupancy room, forcing us to rely on their staff to escort us—an inconvenience seemingly designed to encourage tipping. The key system itself was restrictive, only allowing access to the floor of the assigned room. To add to our frustration, when one of our rooms was changed during the stay, we were relocated to a poorly maintained room. The washroom was unclean, there were no towels or basic housekeeping supplies, and no one from the staff attended to these issues despite our requests. Moreover, there was no mobile network coverage in the new room, adding another layer of inconvenience to an already subpar experience. The check in and check out process was super slow. The staff did not seem to be prepared for the guests with reservation. The room was not as shown in photos while booking. There were 2 seperate beds while the photos and info while booking showed one king size bed.
