Garden Grove Inn Bed and Breakfast

it was a lovely property and Hillary was above and beyond. Breakfast was awesome and the little touches made it an exceptional stay.

Hilary was a perfect hostess. We were trying to find a place open Saturday night to get coffee but couldn't find any. I texted Holary for recommendations and she made a small pot for me when we got back to Garden Grove. So thoughtful and tasty too! Our room was very nice, Breakfast was tasty, and the resident cat was adorable and sweet. We also loved the grounds. We would stay here again!

We enjoyed every nook and cranny of Garden Grove! We felt relaxed as soon as we entered the home. Hillary is the best innkeeper and her attention to detail is amazing. Homemade, delicious breakfast and coffee each morning and even s’mores kits were available for an evening bonfire. The Rose room was super clean, pretty and well appointed. Love how close the beach was (maybe one mile and free parking). She has bicycles and beach chairs you can use. We loved our stay and will absolutely return!

We are so lucky we found this beautiful bed and breakfast for a quick weekend trip for my husband's 30th birthday. Hillary was the most accommodating and friendly host we've ever had. You can tell she's so passionate about her business and the stay was nothing short of perfect. We were able to bring our dog, Aldi, too, which was a huge bonus for us. The room, the common area, the garden, the service - everything exceeded our expectations. Hillary was always quick to reply and answer our questions if we had any. She gave us great recommendations for things to do in the area and was always around to accommodate any other questions we had. She made us the BEST breakfast on Saturday morning. We left early on Sunday so we let her know we weren't going to sit down for breakfast again, so she made us coffee cake to go instead. It was honestly the best coffee cake I've ever had.. I'm still thinking about it. I can't wait to have an excuse to go back one day. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with the friendliest host in Union Pier, you have to stay here!

I can't think of anything that could've been better besides maybe the weather, but even that was better than we were expecting :)

Hilary has done a good job overall. Lovely setting, close to all. She is friendly and welcoming. Very efficient and the breakfast was excellent. I admire anyone that takes on a venture like this.

Devil is in the details. Bed and breakfasts are about emotion. The rooms were efficient and very spacious. Bed was comfortable, liked the fireplace, but it felt too stark. I got the feeling the minimal was about not wanting to put nails in the wall etc..Add 2 nice pieces of local art and even sell that. Nice pottery pieces for dishes ( again could offer to sell). Walls are extremely thin and you hear everything( guests were respectful but a nice big rug would make a world of difference, as would nice box fan in the room. A nice throw( could even sell it). Movie package: sell the popcorn and red vine, with a light soda. Efficient is ok. Cozy and welcoming will win repeats given so many choices. Shampoo bar was a big bust. To be environmental add a nice wall mount to the shower room and fill with great products ( as that is not a throw away and low quality) and again if I like it, sell me samples to go. Little light music playing etc...

Hospitality from the host, Hilary, was amazing. Food was great. Place was clean and well decorated.

There was nothing I didn't like. Everything was great.

Lovely bed and breakfast near Lake Michigan. Very clean room with a comfy bed, and breakfast was awesome! We loved the option to add on things like chocolate covered strawberries. We hope to return soon!

Garden Grove is absolutely charming. It’s so peaceful - you could hear a pin drop. We stayed in the Sunflower room. Looking forward to returning in the fall.
