Sunwing Bangtao Beach

The hotel itself was excellent. There were several separate pools and relaxing areas, which made it easy to find a quiet spot. It also has a gym, which was a big advantage for me. The breakfast was great, with a wide variety of options to choose from. One of the highlights was the beautiful sunset view, which can be enjoyed either from the pools or directly from the beach, or their restaurant. The hotel also seems like a fantastic choice for families with children, as the facilities are very family-friendly.

There were jet skis operating close to the hotel's beach, which created quite a lot of noise at times. This may be subjective, but there were many Russian guests, and some visitors may not appreciate the behaviour of certain groups. The hotel's location is quite isolated. There isn't much to do within walking distance outside the resort, so you'll likely need to take a taxi if you want to explore restaurants, shops, or local attractions.

The kids clubs were poor; the staff at the younger children’s club did not greet or make any interaction with my daughter, instead they sat on the table chatting for the duration of our time there. They could not have seemed less interested in children. The older kids clubs was only for children from 8 years of age whilst the younger club was for children upto around 5, this meant that my 6 year old felt too young for the one club and wasn’t allowed in the other. The gym was old and dated and didn’t even contain exercise mats.

Fantastic location. There is no better location in Phuket. Resort and the restaurants, including the breakfast buffet, sitting, looking straight at the beach. Absolutely stunning. Pools are great. Very family friendly Resort, and would recommend for couples as well. In Phuket, I would not recommend staying in Patong. Patong is an overcrowded cess-pit. However, Bangtao Beach, the slightly quieter not so well known of Phukets beaches, is the premier location in Phuket. Nowhere else has restaurants right on the beach. There is nothing better than sitting with your toes in the sand, while sipping a cold, Chang beer and enjoying "birdsnest prawns" from The Golden Fish restaurant. Bangtao also has the premier quality night-life bars and restaurants on the beach. Highly recommend MAYA beach day and night club bar, The Golden Fish restaurant and Nomad Beach club, with its nightly free Fireshows. Do not miss them at least once. 5 stars out of 5 for Bangtao. Also, back to Sunwing Bangtao, reception staff Nina is lovely and very helpful.

Location, Beach Front, Restaurant, 6 X Pools, Staff, Family friendly, Pool Bar, Decent prices for a 4 star resort. The room was nice, decent size, and we had a pool access room. Smart TV, has some app access not all, Beds are comfy, Plenty of activities, Gaming room, Small stage for Jazz or kids shows Overall 8 day stay and our second time would highly recommend

The front bar area needs fans, and good tunes to go with the pool tables at the front bar, Main pool slide needs a major upgrade. Bathrooms need upgrading more modern touch

We stayed at Sunwing in May for the second time. Everything here is just as welcoming, cozy, and convenient. You want to come back here because everything about this place draws you in: a great beach, and an incredibly responsive and friendly staff. Housekeeping is every day, with clean, fragrant, snow-white towels, and the bed linen smells fresh. Since our last visit two years ago, there have been some nice changes: a 7*12 store has opened just two steps away. Tops is still there. As for the entertainment program at the hotel, I would like to say a special thank you to the hotel management: a very strong and excellent program led by Oksana. Literally everyone joins in for aqua aerobics. Oksana is very positive and pleasant — she sets a wonderful mood from the very morning! Two years ago, there was also a poolside program, but someone else was leading it, and we didn't attend nor did it leave an impression. What they have now is truly memorable and vibrant. We always joined Oksana's sessions; unfortunately, we couldn't make it to Zumba. We were very happy to meet her! And the night saxophone on Wednesdays and Fridays is a special treat. Our family loves live music. We went as a family with our children. Our son absolutely adores the saxophone. It's just amazing to listen to live music with the sound of the waves in the background. The kids' animation is also excellent: our son spent time in the teen room, played darts and ping-pong with other boys, and even made keychains! Our daughter also really enjoyed the kids' club for younger children — the program is quite packed: face painting, making bracelets, and some beautiful paper crafts. Everything is great! We are absolutely delighted!!! And the children said that if they could, they would give this hotel 100 stars.

As for the downsides. The atmosphere and the location of our room more than made up for them, but since there is a section for this, I'll say a few words. Although I think the hotel management already knows about the drawbacks of Block 7, where we stayed. They are currently renovating it, for which we were warned in advance and offered to move to another block by the sea with an upgrade, but we declined as we liked the location of our room a lot. In our room the water drained poorly from the sink, the balcony door kept sliding off its track, and the plumbing is already very old and in need of renovation. But I have no doubt that all of this will be fixed, because the hotel is well maintained and that's obvious. As for the bathroom: personally, I missed having hooks in the wet area and a shelf for personal toiletries. But these are all small things. Just thinking out loud.
