Chetwynd House Inn

We had a great stay at the Chetwynd House Inn. The location can’t be beat — the inn is literally in downtown Kennebunkport (but on a side street, so it isn’t too noisy). The room was comfortable, and Bob was a great host — very responsive and accommodating. Would recommend staying here!

This was our first time at a B&B and Bob didn't disappoint us at all. Room was clean with modern amenities. Breakfast was delicious. Will return again.

Delightful B&B in an excellent location just around the corner from Kennebunkport’s Main Street. We had a fantastic 2 night stay in this wonderful B&B. We were warmly welcomed by our host Bob who told us about the area and gave us excellent advice about where to eat. Our room was spacious and comfortable, it was extremely hot during our stay and the air conditioning worked a treat. The WiFi was good and we didn’t encounter any major difficulties. We had a delicious breakfast each morning served by Bob who was able to help us out with recommendations about what to do for the day. We had a wonderful stay and if ever in the area again we would definitely call again

The owner bob is really nice. Was there when we arrived and pointed out some places that might be open in the early season. The home is an older home so it was like going to our grandparents house. Location is excellent for the town so you can leave your car and walk. For a bed an breakfast it would be nice to have breakfast included. We have been to the town so we had a spot we like to go anyway. Also apparently Expedia is not collecting tax so when we were getting in our car to leave Bob cane out and said he needed to collect the tax. We actually called and spoke with an Expedia customer service rep to book this room as we had credit on our account. She charged us $9.00 telling us the tax was not included in the price and we asked if the extra charge was the $9 and she said yes that we didn’t owe anything else. We will call to discuss with them later today. I would imagine Expedia takes a pretty good chinch if change from Bob for the service so they should be able to provide the consumer with an otd out the door price. Again Bob was very nice and his place was very clean. We would recommend a stay with Bob anytime.

Friendly host, comfortable accommodations, outstanding location.

The location was great! Close to town, could walk to shops & restaurants & didn’t have to worry about parking. The inns decor could use some updating.

I rarely do these reviews but I was SO disappointed in this B&B it became laughable by the last day of our 4 day stay there. The room and bathroom were dirty to start. NOTHING had been dusted. The toilet was unclean. The entire place was unkempt inside and out. We had the exact same breakfast every day. They never came in to make the bed or clean the bathroom during our stay there. We did not have a frig in our room and when we returned from dinner at 8 pm with a dessert and nightcap in mind the dining room/kitchen was closed and locked and we were unable to get any ice or any silverware. The owner is simply unhappy having this. I'm sorry for that but he needs to leave the hospitality industry. For $250 a night it was a major disappointment.
