"Hidden gem a short drive from I-94"

10.0

Just happened upon this place while searching for a place halfway between Milwaukee and Duluth. The Inn is locatedin a small town south of Eau Claire, WI. It's situated on a wooded lot with rustic gardens and mature trees. Lots of charm and the rates are more than value priced. Upon arrival we met the owners son who cares for the property. He gave us excellent dinner recommendations in town. Had a wonderful meal in town as it was a 10 minute walk from the Inn. The next morning we had a nice breakfast with fruit and muffins at the Inn while getting to know the owners. Juice and coffee served as well. This would be a great place for a large group of multiple couples. Inn is a hidden gem and the town has spots for lunch, dinner and morning coffee if you desire. Will definitely return when I'm passing thru. They have a few suites and 6 smaller rooms with different themes. Very relaxing setting.

This historic motel and inn is a bit out of the way, but a great alternative to your basic motel. Very friendly and attentive host; quiet and lovely setting.

"Good place for cyclists"

8.0

The owners were very friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out was simple. We didn't get the room we had reserved, but the one they put us in was fine. There could have been cross ventilation in the room. Maybe in the summer months there is. The owners told us that they had just opened up the hotel the week before we got there, due to the weather. Breakfast was OK, but usually in a B&B you expect a hot breakfast. All in all we will stay there again if we go back to that area.
