Location was perfect.

Absolutely loved this place. Very welcoming and friendly staff. We loved the personal attention to detail. The owner made a genuine effort to personally welcome each guest even offering to let the guests sit in his Ferrari ! Our waiter Nawfel was superb. He welcomed us every night by name and even offered to get the chef to create an individual dish, if there wasn’t anything on the menu that we liked. We didn’t need to take him up on that as the food was excellent ! The room was spotless as was the restaurant and bar areas. The only niggle was a lack of privacy on the balcony. But apart from that I would highly recommend this hotel !

We have just returned from our third visit to this very peaceful hotel and cannot recommend it highly enough. It is very well managed, and all the staff are friendly, helpful, and professional in their approach to everyone. The restaurant runs like clockwork, and has a calm and relaxed atmosphere. The whole team us very ably led and communication between staff and guests is very good. The half board menu is very Italian, with a strong focus on pasta, vegetarian and cheese dishes, with usually only one meat or fish course . There are however some very good starters and desserts. I personally found the menu challenging at times, but was impressed by the way some adaptations were offered where possible. The hotel is spotless and beautifully furnished and decorated, and bedrooms are well maintained, with frequent changes of bedding and towels. The pool and gardens are great additions for a really relaxing stay. Gardone is a quiet, small town, with shops and restaurants, and a place people go from, rather than come to, so it is largely uncrowded compared with other towns around the lake. There is easy access to the ferries and local buses. For anyone wanting a quiet peaceful holiday, this is the perfect spot .

Paid an upgrade charge for a lake view roomed and faced a building and air conditioning unit. After communicating our dissatisfaction, received a partial lake view room. Very misleading information on booking.com.
