Hotel Savoy Palace

Die sehr gute Lage des Hotels an der Promenade, die angenehme Atmosphäre im Hotel, der herrliche Blick beim Frühstück auf den See haben uns begeistert. Die Auswahl des Frühstücks war offenbar stark an englische Gäste ausgerichtet.

Leider waren die Zimmer zur Hauptverkehrsstraße wegen des Lärmpegels für Urlauber ungeeignet. In der Ausschreibung und Bewerbung sollte das deutlich mitgeteilt werden, um eine rechtzeitige Klärung zu ermöglichen.

On arrival we thought this privately run hotel looked a little tired, its exterior looking like a freshen up was required. Inside was a different matter. A large room with comfortable bed was immaculately serviced by friendly efficient staff. A good breakfast again with great staff and likewise dinner. Conveniently situated this lakeside hotel will loose its view if the large trees are not reduced..

Excellent hotel in central but quiet location. Four of us stayed for 7 days on half board. All the staff are excellent: helpful, friendly and efficient. The rooms are modern and spotlessly clean with great views. The restaurant serves excellent food, but could have better vegetarian choices. The Maitre d/ restaurant manager is excellent and ensures a pleasurable experience. Highly recommended.

Lovely break. Comfortable room, lovely staff and great location for a relaxing break. Didn’t do any day trips as was visiting for a friends wedding. Just relaxed by the pool. Lovely restaurants within a 5 minute walk and not busy. Scenery stunning.

Das Frühstücksangebot war enttäuschend

We have just returned from a week at this lovely hotel. It is very well maintained and everywhere is immaculate, with attractive furniture and furnishings that give the hotel a sense of style and character. There is also a pool terrace surrounded by gardens, and meals are taken here when the weather allows. The whole ambience of this hotel is one of peace and calm, and it is indeed a very relaxing place to spend a week . The staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The owner/manager /director are a visible presence and clearly have a 'hands on' approach. The half board menu is essentially Italian, but has a wide choice of dishes. There is also an a la carte menu where you can choose other options and pay the difference in price, although this is not always made clear. The restaurant runs efficiently and given that many of the staff are young or trainees, they do a very impressive job, and communicate well with guests. The same cannot be said of the Maitre d/ restaurant manager who works hard, but whose inter personal skills are limited and whose flippant comments are sometimes inappropriate. This is the second time we have stayed here and I am sure we will return. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Situation de l hôtel Parking quoique payant

Au lac de Côme pour 3 jours j ai opté pour l hôtel Savoy Palace . La chambre qui m a été attribuée se trouvait au Rez de chaussée au bord de la route ! Après de longues négociations j ai appris que la même catégorie de chambre était disponible au 5 eme étage ou moyennant un complément de prix je pouvais avoir une chambre de catégorie supérieure ! Je me pose la question de savoir si les chambres les plus désagréables sont réservées aux clients booking, l hôtel reversant une commission à booking !! Après l intervention de booking j ai pu avoir la chambre souhaitée
