Das Hotel ist ideal gelegen um Unternehmungen in und um Kapstadt zu Starten. Es ist ein kleines Boutique Hotel in ruhiger Lage. Das Viertel ist recht sicher: Man kann außerhalb auch joggen gehen. Ohne Auto würde ich aber keine Reise vagen. Das Hotel selbst ist - wie jedes Gebäude in Kapstadt - mit einer hohen Mauer, Stacheldraht und Video-Überwachung gesichert. Das Gebäude und der innen- wie außenliegende Garten, der Pool und die Zimmer sind top in Schuss und sehr ästhetisch eingerichtet. Der Service ist sehr nett, manchmal ein bisschen zu sehr (wirkt aufgesetzt, ist aber auch außerhalb so und offensichtlich kulturell bedingt). Das Frühstück ist das Einzige, was uns nicht gefallen hat. Hier war der Service unflexibel bei der Tischwahl und langsam. Der Kaffee war stets überbrüht und die Auswahl am Buffet gering: Bspw. gabs nur weiche Croissants als Teigware und zwei verschiedene Wurstarten zur Auswahl. Die Eierspeisen, welche das Personal auf Wunsch zubereiten, haben das nur wenig retten können. Wir haben uns dann entschlossen, außerhalb Frühstücken zu gehen. Die Auswahl an der Selbst-Bedienungsbar (neben Frühstückstischen und Pool), wo man sich jederzeit versorgen kann, ist in Ordnung, jedoch fehlen sämtliche Preisangaben. Im Zimmer gibt's sowas, jedoch nur für die Getränke der Minibar.

I stayed in this hotel as it is very close to UCT campus, where I had meetings, but it would be equally suitable (and ideal perhaps) for a couple visiting Cape Town. Taxis/Ubers are cheap to get into downtown Cape Town. It is in a safe and friendly part of the city, and also close to the botanical gardens. It would be a terrific staging post for people wanting to travel in the surrounding area (it is also closer to the airport than downtown Cape Town).

Very comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Lovely warm pool. Room was large. Do be aware that not all rooms have separate toilets.

We loved our experience at Banksia, so charming & beautiful.

The room was comfortable except for the poor condition of the bathroom. Needs some basic maintainance to bring it back to a four star rating. Pool was disappointing and dirty. Hot tub not functional. The breakfast was excellent. Location very convenient.
