Bhanuswari Resort & Spa

We want a relaxing trip at Ubud, quiter place and easy access to town centre. This resort satisfied our demand perfectly. The staff there are very friendly and helpful, I would recommend this resort for traveller who want to enjoy nature beauty.

The hotel is in the middle of a rice paddy. Hint for ease of arrival email hotel and ask them to send a driver to meet you at the airport. We loved the peace and tranquility of the hotel as it was a good 15 minute drive from the hotel to Ubud. A car would take you into Ubud at no extra charge whenever you needed one. The rooms were fine and serviced beautifully every day, but silly little things like not repairing the broken lights that were lit at dusk, despite pointing them out, not topping up the tea bags, just took the edge of it. Having said that the staff could not have been more courteous and helpful, within the limits sometimes of language. It was a delight to stay. The food was fine, ŵe only had dinner once in the hotel and breakfast is as anywhere else I should imagine heavy on eggs and if you want the muesli you will have to ask for milk and possibly a spoon. We would go back definitely as we just loved the peace and tranquility, courteous staff and lovely ambience.

The little bumpy road to this hotel made me nervous of my decision to book this hotel. Minutes after I was there, I was fully relieved and convinced it was indeed a thumbs up decision. Located by the rice fields, you will be subject to peace and an enjoyable time here. The pools are great, especially the one right by the rice fields. I forgot to get the name of the receptionist, but you wouldn't miss her for she's too sweet to go above and beyond to give you all the information. She said she was from the nearby village. Anyway, the service was good. The hotel provides free transport to Ubud city, so no issues on that. And for the adventurous ones like me, you can rent a motorbike from them, at an affordable 50k Rupiah / per day. Another unique thing is the made to order breakfast, the pancakes are a must. The omelet, my staple breakfast was a let down but maybe others might like it. the juices were fab. Good place to stay, nothing to worry. :)

Bali and Ubud have lots of great places, many reasonable priced. This room was spare, the AC fixed and r=too cold, and the room look long in the tooth, It was functional and adequate, but having been in Ubud berfore, I think you could do better at a similar price.
