"Great halfway stop"

Spent one night as halfway on road trip from Melbourne to Brisbane. Just near the exist of the M11 tunnel. Rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. Restaurant had great atmosphere and fantastic steaks! Staff were friendly and added to the atmosphere with chats about Hollywood movies with big name stars that were filmed there.

The motel is located in a good area and close to public transport. Access to city is good. But the motel is very old. Still uses window air conditioning units. Quite pricey for what it’s worth

No breakfast or any meal options or snacks, partially renovated/demolished rooms (which was not notified of beforehand). Tiny bath towels, miscellaneous cables and light used light globes in the cupboard , weird black scratched frosted windows don’t give much privacy and outdoor/outlook very messy dirt everywhere and junk piled up outside doorways which would be a danger in blackout.
