Valentin Star Menorca - Adults Only

This was the second year that we spent a week at the Valentin Star. We like the hotel which is clean, elegant and well presented. The staff is always super friendly and attentive. This year, we had a different room which was on the ground floor. The room was very spacious, with a very comfy sofa. The bathroom was great. However, we liked much more the view on the harbour and being at the first floor than being in the garden. Another big difference we notice has to do with dinner (we had half board). Last year, during the week we spent at Valentin there were several "thematic dinners" (e.g. italian, asiatic, Spanish, etc) with typical dishes. This year it was pretty much always the same, although of good quality and with a lot of choice. We had a menorquine dinner, which we liked.... but that is all!

Nothing terrible, but as already said our experience from last year was overall better. One night, coming back in the room we found a gecko inside. Probably the cleaning ladies left the balcony open to get some air and it entered. The sprinklers were active every night, making it impossible to leave clothes and towels to dry outside. The room was almost never exposed at the sun. Drinks are not included for the half-board formula and they are not that cheap (2.8 euros for 75cl of water and 15 euros for 1l of sangria - which by the way was prepared with the fruit in syrup from the breakfast rather than with fresh one)

L’emplacement central est à côté de toutes les commodités, le personnels qui est vraiment très agréable et aux petits soins. Le petit déjeuner qui est extraordinaire avec un large choix, aussi bien en salé qu’en sucré Le calme sans enfants 😬

Pour être tatillon, une ampoule grillée au niveau du lit

Le personnel est professionnel et attentif. Le confort et l’emplacement de l’hôtel sont parfaits.

Un peu plus de deco dans la chambre.

En la recepción dos personas que nos atendieron no tenían buenas formas para comunicarse y resolver problemas. El colchón se hundía en el medio y no era cómodo. La habitación tiene olor a encierro, quizás mezclado con la antigüedad de las mismas

A simpatia do staff, maioria era muito atencioso. Têm muita atenção a todos os pormenores e são muito prestáveis. Ex: todos os dias vão dar chocolates ao quarto, perguntámos se podíamos ficar a seguir ao check-out e deixaram-nos completamente à vontade. Quartos limpos e bem feitos. Área exterior ótima, estivemos cá em agosto e mesmo assim havia sempre muitas espreguiçadeiras disponíveis. Pequeno-almoço com muita diversidade. Muito perto da praia e com praias lindas à volta. Recomendo imenso a casais que só queiram umas férias descansadas, lugar ideal!

A única pessoa do staff que considerámos que poderia melhorar um bocadinho a atitude é a senhora que parecia ser a manager do pequeno-almoço, sei que o trabalho não é fácil mas muitas vezes chamava à atenção aos funcionários (que estavam a fazer um ótimo trabalho) sem necessidade e à frente dos clientes. Mas é um pequeno apontamento de forma apenas a poder melhorar! De resto nada a apontar.

Personal muy amable, piscina estupenda, habitaciones amplias, desayuno muy completo y buen aire acondicionado.

Echamos en falta una cama doble en lugar de dos individuales

Ontbijt compleet, was nooit iets op. Locatie is goed, voldoende ligbedden en keurige schoonmaak. Hartelijke ontvangst ook.

Het uiterlijk van de kamers is wat gedateerd.
