What I liked was the location of the hotel, it was in the centre of the town, minutes walk to the old town of Funchal.

The rooms were a bit old, they used blankets on the bed, instead of quilt and air conditioners a bit noisy.

La spontanéité et la bonne humeur de la réceptionniste Elsa. Malheureusement, c'est le seul point positif de notre séjour de 5 nuits au Windsor

La qualité du petit déjeuner est lamentable (choix, présentation et qualité) Le personnel ne manifeste aucun intérêt, que ce soit pour les clients ou son travail (service et réception, à l'exception d'Elsa) Le bruit de la rue (voitures, discussions, couvercle de chambres techniques sous la route qui tape toutes les 15 secondes). L'isolation des fenêtres étant misérable, nous avions l'impression de nous trouver au bord de la chaussée.

Nous avons aimé l'emplacement, le personnel ainsi que le buffet petit déjeuner. La piscine est un attrait complémentaire. Le parking privé même payant est également attrayant.

Le côté un peu passé,désuet voir trop vintage. Une bouilloire d'eau dans la chambre serait la bienvenue pour un hôtel de ce standing

It’s location. It is close to the city center.

It’s facilities. The whole hotel (with the exception of the lobby) is rather old and dated (not in a good sense). Rooms are dark, tiny. Beds have metal frames and an uncomfortable mattresses; not suitable for a hotel with 4 stars. They also have a smell you would expect from those kind of beds. We stayed in the room, which had no main light and the only source of light was from night stand lamps. There were no easily accessible wall plugs to charge your phones. All of the other furniture was rather old and/or in not good condition. Bathroom was something similar, dated toilet, stains and damages on the floor and on the walls.
