"Definitely a spectacular trip with a warm, friendly atmosphere."

The breakfast was great! Scrambled eggs with tomatoes and onions, 4 very fresh fruits, juice, coffee, oatmeal, hot biscuits. All served by one of our wonderful hosts, Frederico. This b&b is about two blocks from the number 8 bus stop at St. Roche and Claude. As a senior you can ride the bus, streetcar and ferry lines for $0.80 every 24 hours. This actually includes travelling to and from the airport on the express bus 202! The connection between the 8 and 202 is at the Main Library Stop. This home is very cozy with a wonderful front porch and courtyard area. The two neighborhood restaurants we loved were The Silk Road and The Franklin. The local dessert hotspot is the Peach Cobbler Factory. The ice cream and cobbler are divine. The star of the entire city though is their superb public transportation. We visited the following sites: 2 days at the World War 2 Museum lunch one day at the museum and second day at Le Perche (fabulous small plates); Creole Queen Paddlewheeler with historical tour of Chalmette (battle of New Orleans), Cabildo, Presbytere, Edgar Degas House and the docent was a great grandniece of Degas, related through both the Mussen and Degas lines, Art Museum of New Orleans with the fabulous sculpture garden and City Park. We spent nine days on this property, marched in the Day of the Dead Procession and attended the PoBoy Festival. Best trip ever.

Not much. Don’t misunderstand the following statement but the Marigny is a neighborhood on the way up. That said we were never scared or afraid to walk out at night.

The owners were very friendly and helpful recommending local points of interest (tours, restaurants, museums, etc). Breakfast included fresh biscuits and eggs to order, along with fresh fruit and the usual continental breakfast fare. I had a really great stay and highly recommend this charming little B&B.

"Wonderful getaway "

Lovely late 1800’s B & B, with a nice courtyard with hot tub. I enjoyed the front porch swing, very relaxing on a breezy day! Our host Joe was kind and very helpful with things to do, where to go, and how best to get there. Freddie made the place feel like home, he had beautiful plants around, he made limited breakfast (due to c/o of smell of meat cooking) but he made up for it with fresh fruit, eggs ,jams and different breads. He even surprised me the last day with chorizo and potatoes! These guys are the best! I will be back!!

"Great stay/ hope to return"

10.0

Stayed for three days with my 23 year old daughter in the blue room. Really enjoyed our room and our stay. Joe will contact you a few days before your stay to find out what time you will be there. Check in was super easy. Federico was very friendly and made delicious eggs. Joe was great too. The courtyard was really nice although it was way too hot outside to use the hot tub. The front porch was also a nice place to relax. Parking was free and right on the street out front. We loved the fact that there was a neighborhood bar just three doors down with cheap drinks and a friendly bartender. It was a great place to start and later end our evening. It was a 15 minute walk to Frenchmen Street where we saw some amazing jazz bands. We definitely hope to return to the Burgundy Bed and Breakfast.
