Travel Plaza Hotel

always a comfortable nights sleep and a clean hotel, with very friendly staff. lots of parking space too. Good to have a fridge in the room, as no food provided on site.

There is no breakfast served, and i have never known the restaurant next door to be open, so its 'fend for yourself' re food. There is nowhere to walk to, but shops are a short drive away. however, this is reflected in the price. there are chocolates/ snacks available in reception.

Erm…. It was nice & warm. Receptionist lovely.

Looks like a building site with scaffolding everywhere. Had to walk around the builders sheets & work boots in the entrance. Tv didn’t work. Called reception, they tried to blame the builders. Asked to change rooms, was told all tvs are the same. Unable to open my window due to scaffolding etc outside it. Builders started work very, very early-banging & shouting. I’m very unimpressed with this hotel and certainly won’t be returning. No compensation offered, whatsoever (what happened to appropriate customer service??) Even on stating my complaints again in the morning. They just was not bothered. It’s a shame really as it has the potential to be a really lovely hotel. Offering breakfast would be a huge advantage as if you don’t know the area (which I don’t) there’s nothing really around.

Very large rooms. Free parking, and great chinese if its open. No breakfast available. Good for the price.

The lady on reception was very friendly and informative. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were really nice with all usual amenities. The bed was very comfy.

3 single beds was handy for our family. Hotel was easy to find, good parking

I was not allowed enough milk for us to have a cup of tea, there was no kettle in the room just a coffee machine and enough coffee for 2 people, I asked for more pods and was refused. I offered to pay for more pods and more milk cartons, I was told I was asking for too much and the answer was no. I was a solo female with 2 children. I was made to feel awkward and embarrassed. I was too uncomfortable to leave the room again until morning as the receptionist had made me feel unnerved. I felt £96 was a lot to pay for a room with no proper drink making facilities and no food available inside or within View of the hotel. There was a garage nearby that I saw when I was driving away the next day, but the receptionist did not mention I could have purchased milk nearby. I would never stay here again or reccomend it.

The instant smell at the front entrance reminded us of a residential home. No food available the restaurant wasn’t open much either.
