La Quinta Inn and Suites Fort Myers I-75

Location: right near airport, Mexican restaurant across the driveway

Minimal plugs in room. Had to unplug lights to plug in phone. Opened the curtains. Windows were filthy. Bathtub was dirty as well as the door and wall. My son had surgery the day before we got there Wasn’t able to make the 4 hr trip to home. I was uneasy even staying there. The door was hard to get in to. Room 229. And hard to close. We asked for a later check out to give him time to rest. Check out was 11:00. We asked for 12:00. Which was free. Between 10:00 and 12:00 we were contacted 5 times. 2 by cleaning ladies, phone rang from front desk to tell us it was check out time. Then 2 more cleaning ladies. Well that hour of rest wasn’t worth it!! We get to the elevator at 11:50 with the cart to take out our luggage. The cleaning lady jumped on the elevator with her cart. 😡. We get down to the desk the lady looks at us meanly. I said we did request a 12:00 checkout. She said NO YOU DIDN’T!! I said yes we did. We were told that no charge for 12:00. But 1:00 had a $30 (I think ) fee. I said 12:00 was fine. She argued and said the lady would have left me a note. I said well I’m sorry. We requested it. She rudely said. Well it’s on her. Not me. She’ll be in trouble. Not me. I said. Well I better not receive a fee or not get my deposit back. Smh 🤦🏼‍♀️. Oh boy. Good luck if you choose to stay here.
