Hotel Apartamentos Solimar

We rented an apartment, which was spacious (although a bit dated, like in all hotels in this neighbourhood). The location is perfect - very close to the beach and to the train station, so it's a good place both for those who like to stay in the hotel all day (clean swimming pools, drink bar, hotel restaurant for those who take full board, a possibility to book a massage and an area for meetings/games) and for those who prefer to spend time outside (proximity to a sandy beach, many restaurants and shops and the train station). Nice and helpful staff.

The bracelets. The hotel staff puts textile bracelets on guests upon arrival, which cannot be taken off until check-out. Although we found this a bit weird, we understand that this helps hotel staff identify people who are allowed to access the hotel. BUT the bracelet has a plastic clip with hard and sharp edges, and it's easy to cut yourself with it, e.g. while getting undressed (which is what happened to me, unfortunately). Guests have to wear the bracelet all the time, even to sleep, so it would be nice to have something safer.
