Grand Mercure Hotel Hualing

Great hotel, excellent staff and good facilities in the hotel. A little out of the centra but easy to access the city centre. The room was excellent. Very spacious, great bed and bathroom.

Internet at times not the best

Upmarket large hotel in central Urumqi. Modern, very clean, helpful staff, excellent rooms, warm, good showers and bed, good food in house and dinner nearby. Location was good for central Urumqi business. Reasonable value.

There was a considerable bond requested which should be front and centre on Booking.com details when booking this venue.

Close to local. Has a small local market next to the hotel. Clean and nice hotel. Except terrible cigarette smoke stayed in our bath towers on our 2nd night

Booking confirmed we have free breakfast in the morning. But the hotel staff said we didn't have. They showed us the confirmation they got from Booking is with no breakfast. They said there are many clients have same issues like us with Booking.com. they charged 80 yuan for beakfast/ person. Will Booking return the breakfast money to us? We saw the difference on the price we paid Booking.com and the money Booking paid the hotel around 130 yuan/ 2 nights and no breakfast. Room is clean, nice facility. As mentioned abow, the second night, all of our bath towels smell terrible with cigarette smoke. We had to complaint and asked to exchange new ones. Staff speak limited English
