The Morehead Inn

Liked the history and background of the inn. The character and charm it displayed. Our visit was cut short due to a family event so we unfortunately, didn’t get to spend the time we had anticipated when initially making the reservation. Would like to return when we have more availability.

Take a break from big box hotels and enjoy this quaint place that is pet friendly. Comfortable, clean and a great made to order breakfast.

Property was beautiful and staff was very attentive. Our suite was pretty cold and drafty but they included a space heater that helped warm it up a bit. Lovely historic setting for a weekend getaway!

We had an intimate wedding reception (approx. 30 people) at the beautiful Morehead Inn. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the property, the ambience, the delicious food and the kind, accommodating staff. Our experience was beyond our expectations.

This is a beautiful luxurious hotel located in the historic DILWORYH neighborhood in Charlotte. The rooms are very specious and comfortable. The hotel is very quiet. Service was outstanding. Hotel is only a few minutes from downtown Charlotte and twenty minutes from the airport.

We stayed in the Lexington and it was better than expected. It was roomy and adorable. We loved it immediately. I even took pictures. There were two luggage holders (perfect); some places don't provide any. There was a desk perfect to use for my laptop and apply makeup. There was even a magnified makeup mirror! The TV/ sitting area was great. At some hotels, you are lucky to get a side chair. The king size bed was very comfortable. The robes were a nice touch. The staff (Rosalyn, I believe) was very helpful and so nice. She called me to get our arrival time and completed the check in process so we could go straight to our room. She took ice to our room shortly before our arrival. There was even my kind of coffee creamer left beside the coffee maker which was a very appreciated surprise for me. I usually bring my own but forgot it this time. Breakfast was delicious in a beautiful dining room. We only want to stay at The Morehead Inn when we come back to the area. It was so much better than a hotel. A+++

There was nothing that we didn't like.

I loved our stay at the Inn. I was impressed with the room, coffee choice, decorations, the beauty of the building and the welcoming staff. The only reason i did not give 5 stars was because of the scents of perfume throughout the building. Since i am very sensitive to scents i did not like it. However my room window opened so no problem once in my room. I would go back and highly recommend the stay. The breakfast was great especially the yogurt parfay. Also the hot water in the sink bathroom took too long to heat up. Just fyi Eclupic Room. Otherwise great!
